So, I called Disney weddings this morning to find out about availability for May 29th. After looking me up on the system, it turns out that no one had entered my request into the system. :furious: I could have waited for the next 50 years, and I would not have received a call concerning the intimate wedding. That is really frustrating!!! Anyways, they said that I will *hopefully* receive a call today. I am quite annoyed right now. I told them that I need to decide today on my location. Hopefully, they will realize that they could be losing a potential customer. :faint: Wish me luck!
 
I hope that you are able to get a response today. I know how frustrating it must be to not get a response when you need one, especially when you are finally so close.

That sucks! I hope they get back to you today. I do remember waiting forever to have someone get back to me when I first started planning our renewal. When I called back like 5 days later, found out they had me listed for a different date, further away, and when it was straightened out, someone called me that same day.

Gosh that sounds familiar! If you don't hear from someone by 3:00 today call them again today. You need an answer and all they have to do is look up a date for goodness sake.

I know when I called the first time, they did indicate that they get so many calls about having a wedding that most of them are only checking but won't really have a wedding there. Maybe they mistook you for one of those? :confused3 Make sure they know how interested you are and that you WILL be having your wedding there.
 
Thanks, Cherie. I told them that I want a Disney wedding if it is available. Unfortunately, no one has yet looked up my date to let me know if it is free. I think I will call this afternoon if I don't hear back.
 
Call and tell them that it is very imparative that someone calls you back today to answer your question. That is what I did when I booked my DFTW and I received a call back from the EM that was on call like an hour later. Hopefully this will work.
 
I had something like this happen too...

It is very frustrating, especially when your desired date is so close!!!

There will be "snags" and little stumbling blocks, and Disney does "drop the ball" sometimes...but try not to lose sight of the Disney wedding you want...it WILL happen!!! And it will be UNBELIEVABLY MAGICAL!! :wizard:

Sorry, I started a new thread for the outcome. We booked the Wedding Pavilion for Monday, May 29th at 6pm. We are so exicted! Everything worked out just fine and our EM has been super helpful. Thanks for your concern! =)
 
good luck getting it straightened out. unfortunitely i had many problems with my coordinator as well...believe me threatening to not have / use disney vendors doesn't work they will wait until the last minute to finalize things regardless of how many times or how many ppl you call. if you don't get answer soon, call the person above your coordinator, i had to do that and it worked.
