Agree completely with Stinkerbelle - I am so OVER the trendy names - Madison, Olivia, Emma, ad nauseam. I love when people "shake it up".

Remember in the movie Splash, Tom Hanks said Madison's not a name it's a street. I always think of that movie when I hear that name.

I love the name Apple & other original names. But then that's coming from someone named Ziva, I was the only Ziva I ever knew growing up and I loved it.

Friends of ours named their daughter Estelle. Yeah - who has named their kid Estelle in the past 30 years?
She totally fits her name though...such a little cutie! And it flows so nicely with her last name.

I don't think Apple is all that bad. Actually I think it is cute. I personally like traditional names, and have named my chiildren accordingly, but that is just my preference.

Kids will find a way to make fun of any name if they don't like you. Ronald Mcdonald....Hannah Banana...

The assistant principal at our school just had twin daughters and named them

Ida Mae and
Clara Fae

If that doesn't sound like 2 residents at the Sunny Acres rest home, I don't know what does. (no offense to anyone with those names!)

The only celebrity name I really feel sorry for the child for is Moxie Crimefighter. I really feel for that child as she gets older.
