We are DL experts and DW total novices! DH and I are going for our 10th anniversary. DH is a cast member so we did the discounted dining plan. Based on these boards, allears and other sources we came up with the following plan.

Monday: We live in CA. Our flight arrives at 4:30 pm. Staying at POP Century. Reservations for Ohana's at 9:30 pm.

Tuesday: AK. 7:05 pm reservations for Boma's. (Park closes at 6)

Wednesday: MK. 4:45 reservations at Crystal Palace.

Thursday: Epcot. 7:20 reservations at Tutto Italia

Friday: DHS. 8:45 reservations at Coral Reef.

Do these sound like good workable options? We are most committed to Bomas and Ohanas. We had a hard time choosing other options. We know there are many choices inside Epcot but none seemed "the obvious choice"

I've also really wanted to try Cape May Buffet. Anyone else like this option?

TIA!

Jen

I think all the restaurants you have chosen are good.

If you are interested in the Cape May seafood buffet dinner then really the only place to put it is Friday, in place of the Coral Reef. In terms of logistics it would actually be better: you can take the boat from DHS to BC for Cape May. Coral Reef is a good ways inside of Epcot; even if you take the boat all the way to the International Gate you still have a fair walk to get there.

If you are wanting to watch the fish, stay with Coral Reef. If you are more interested in eating fish, see about switching the ADR to Cape May. Either way, after dinner you might enjoy going over to the Boardwalk for some late-night entertainment (unless you have the early-early-morning flight out on Saturday) (or unless you want to REALLY make a night of it and just sleep on the plane instead :thumbsup2 )

Have a great trip!

Thanks, Quin.

I'll let DH look at the menu's and make the final call! We DO like buffets it seems!

I like all of your options!! I have eaten everywhere on your list except Cape May..but I have always wanted to.

We've eaten at all the restaurants you have planned for...all were good. We prefer Tony's Town Square over Crystal Palace, but that's just personal preference...basically because we try not to do too many buffet meals while at WDW. Ohana is certainly one of our favorites by far...a must do for every trip. You will really like the atmosphere at Boma and AKL...very cool. Coral Reef has excellent decor, too. Request a table by the aquarium...very nice! DS was mesmerized by all the fish swimming by while we ate.

Enjoy your trip! Happy Planning!

Crystal palace is a huge dud unless you are really into pooh. I like your other choices (except tutti which I have never been to). I would probably replace crystal palace with the wave, kona cafe or grand floridian cafe and take the mono rail from magic kingdom over for dinner

86 CP and I would not send you to Tonys(sorry fans), CMC was better than good but not great, we'd go back there to eat. I always suggest doing a sig ressie and slum it one nite at counterservice. CG would be a great MK choice, even though its at the CR

Do you have Park Hoppers? If not, you are going to burn a day going from DHS to Coral Reef for dinner. With that said, I would have to agree that for a DHS day it would be easier to get to Cape May (better food also, IMHO). Other than that.....looks great!

The only thing I'd rethink is maybe your Tutto Italia ADR. Don't get me wrong, Tutto Italia is good; but it's not "unique." That is to say that - since you're only eating at Epcot a couple of times - you might consider something more unique...something you can't get at home, or might be less likely to try at home. I bet you have a half dozen Italian restaurants near home that are about as good - maybe even better - than Tutto Italia.

Akershus in Norway is good...and has the princesses.

Biergarten in German is AWESOME...and I did *not* want to eat there b/c I didn't think I'd like it!

France and Canada both have outstanding reputations.

There are just so many amazing options at Epcot that I wouldn't do Italy if I was only going to eat one or two places in Epcot while there.

I have eaten at each of your choices they are all very good. I love buffets so the Crystal Palace does it for me with or without Pooh & Co. Of your choices the Coral Reef was my least favorite but I come from New England and enjoy good seafood year round. You will have a great time so please enjoy dining choices. If you want a quick meal try Cosmic Rays in Tomorrow Land and enjoy listening to "Sonny Eclipse."

I don't know what the family make up is...if you have youn kids, Crystal Palace is a fun choice...if you're on the DDP, keep your time slot, if you're out of pocket, you might want to switch to a slightly earlier time to get lunch prices.
We enjoy Cape May - and have eaten there a few times since we stay at BC now and then...but if yo're looking for WOW seafood, just across the way is Flying Fish Cafe...you'll be talking about that meal for a while! It's at the Boarkwalk resort.
You will not be able to go to DHS and then have dinner at Coral Reef unless you have a park hopper...if the only time you're hopping is for that - it's not worth the extra money!
We really enjoy Chefs de France while in Epcot.
Finally, I'm sure you'll love Boma - but promise me you'll try Sanaa on your next trip! It's my very favorte restaurant in all of WDW (well, next to V&A - but who can go thee every trip).
Have a great time!

Check out this link.... allears.net They have menus of each restaurant. You will hear terrible things about all restaurants, just like all resorts. As you know...it's personal preference. And sometimes it can be hit or miss. We have been to Yachtsman's Steakhouse several times...2 were great...1 was not. You never know:confused3

Happy Planning!
