November?

Hi

I am working on a trip to either Universal or Disney in November.

I got a pretty decent price quote for 5 nights at the Royal Pacific hotel with tickets...etc...

I have never stayed onsite. Is there a lot to do at the hotel itself? What is Universal like in November? Is it too early for any Christmas decorations November 10-15th?

Our plan would be to spend the first day at the hotel and city walk. The next three days would be park days and the last day maybe shopping and go back to our favorites attractions. We might take a day to go to the Mother land!

Christmas stuff doesn't start happening till early December.Not sure if they are decorated that early in November either

Anything regarding the resort itself? Is there a lot to do after the parks close?

I was at Universal two years ago with my daughter but we stayed offsite.

November is a great time to go to Universal. The weather is perfect. My family has gone the past two years in November. Last year, we stayed 5 nights. We bought the 4 Day Park to Park Passes. On our off day, we visited Downtown Disney in the early afternoon and then went to the Xmas Party at the MK. It was a good way to get a little Disney in and we really enjoyed the party. There are Xmas decorations up at IoA but there are no Xmas parades yet. As far as things to do at RPR at night, well I haven't stayed there, but of course you could use the pool and there's the bar. There are also things to do at CityWalk - shops, restaurants, movie theaters, mini-golf...

I was down there last November from around Nov. 8-15. Low crowds. Probably a 20-minute wait to get on Forbidden Journey. Highs ranged from 83 to 90 most days we were there.

I can't remember seeing much for Christmas decorations. However, there were some out at Magic Kingdom, if you go over there. I think they had their first Christmas night-time celebrations Nov. 9 and 12 last year. Costumed characters at Animal Kingdom had sweaters and Santa hats on. That sort of thing.

We went in November 2011 and the crowds were low. We loved it. Its was warm enough to still ride the water rides but cool enough that we weren't roasting!
We did stay off site at Bonnet Creek and drove in every day but it worked for us.

We went Nov 11-20 in 2011. It was pretty quiet from what I remember, minimal waits for rides. It took longer to walk to the actual ride on MIB than it did to wait for it. It was still hot outside, but cooler at night. I had to buy a sweatshirt the night we stayed for Blue Man Group. It was too early for any holiday events, but they did have Christmas decorations up around Universal Studios and in Seuss Landing. I'm looking through my pictures now and remember that there was a Christmas theme song & dance with Scooby Doo and other characters over by E.T. I think. That was about it.
