The other month I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years. I would love to spend some solo time at Disney because I have never really had the chance, and would love to do some vacationing alone before I find the man of my dreams and start a family :goodvibes

That being said, when do you think is the best time to see DL in November? My school has track break the last week of Oct and all of Nov, so that is the time frame I am looking at. Any suggestions would be great!

Sorry about your breakup. Hope some Disney vacation time will work its magic for you!

If you want to see the Halloween decorations and, perhaps, attend the last Halloween Party, then the last week of October going into November will be your only chance for that. Just note that the Holiday Parade taping is supposed to take place the first weekend in November, so that may impact a visit during that time frame.

Holiday Time at DLR starts Nov. 12th, so if you like Christmas decorations, then after the 12th would be good. The time from 11/01 - 11/11 will be a bit slower (although, since Cars Land opened, "slow" has a whole new meaning at the parks), but 11/10 -11/12 is Veteran's Day weekend, so there will be crowds then. The week of Thanksgiving will be very crowded, but the week after should be much better crowdwise.

Whenever you decide to visit, check the AP blockout calendar and the refurb schedule for your dates.

Hello fellow Nevadan!

I would just recommend to NOT make the first weekend in November your only day, lol. We did that last year and it was the day they filmed the Christmas Parade. Don't get me wrong, it didn't ruin our time or anything, but we couldn't go in the Castle, it clogged up Main Street, etc. Plus they closed a portion of Fantasyland off early because of the concert that was going on that night.

Me and my friend Alicia are planning on travelling to the states for the last week and a half of Octiber, and fingers crossed we can stay long enough to see the start of the christmas overlay. If you can only have a few days in the park I would try and avoid Halloween day itself, and like the person above said, the day they film the christmas parade.

So sorry to hear about your break up :( Disney's always the thing that cheers me up the most! Hopefully you have lots of fun planning your trip!

Thanks for all the input! I think the best week for me might be to arrive the 13th and stay that week. I would love to see the Christmas decor since I have never been there during that time :goodvibes

If you really enjoy the holiday decorations, and if the budget allows, take the Holiday Tour. It is fun and includes hot chocolate in a travel mug, a gingerbread cookie, a special pin, and VIP seating for the Holiday Parade. The tour guides have a great way of making you feel special. :) We do this every year, and it's become a favorite tradition!

That sounds fun!! I will have to look into that! Thank you

I think you're right on track... Disney after a breakup, plus the 13th will have the holiday season in full effect, and the crowds will be lower....

aaaand not saying you're ready and all, buuut I did meet my first love at Disneyland :thumbsup2

Have a great time :)
