Hi all here is my first attempt at a trip report we are a famly of 4 ......(DW)(DD)5 yrs (DS)4 yrs and myself the oldest kid AKA dad.
22nd of nov we have travelled from Inverness to Glasgow Prestwick for the early Beauvais flight 06.50 no problems there.Land in Paris get the shuttle bus to Port Maillot then metro to Auber/CDG.
Try to buy tickets to Chessy ...........STRIKES............still the teller tells us to just go through the barrier and wait there may be trains but nothing definate but no charge to board due to strike action.......well our luck was in we waited 40 mins and the train pulls in fairly empty so we arrive at Chessy about 13.00 not our quickest transfer but hey it could be worse.
It's Thursday so the park is open untill 6pm tonight ....tired children so this is absolutely fine,we put our cases to guest storage (dream AP's so free facility).
Well what a lovely novelty to walk down main street with 2 stollers 2 tired kids and not bump in to anyone or someone stop in front of your path i have never seen the park so quiet. We have a fairly bright sunny day not too cold the park is looking great decked out for the season but with POTC being closed the kids ask to go straight to BTM 5 min que great so i thought, the kids decide to wait until we have started the climb before the drop to inform us they have changed their mind they don't like it anymore......well they had to ride it out i am afraid my authority is limited on this one still they were not hysterical or anything but decided that was the last time they would go on it despite loving it in June.....maybe should have left it till the morning until they had a full nights sleep, still they only looked a bit windswept afterwards nothing worse than that.We decide to make the pace a bit gentler and proceed to fantasyland where we do peter pan with a bit more success.I manage to avoid small world i was not quite up to that on a first day we do a few of the other rides before grabbing a burger at marionette before heading of to Buzz amazing they still had FP's available after 3pm but we get on in about 5min anyway.
We watch the parade buy more disney soft toys because apparently you can't have too many and the need them to do their parade reinactment at home i'm a soft touch they press the right buttons and i behave accordingly by buying them then decide to get to our accomodation ....no 34 bus to Magne le Hongre to the Citea residential...bus stop right outside the gate check in no problem ...........love this accomodation a little basic in cooking utensils etc but lots of room unpack not a case to be seen in sight so much storage its great would definately reccomend this place it takes no longer than staying in the Kyriad on the bus.especially when the park closes early and you are spending more of the evening in the accomodation.
It's approx 17.45 now ............this is where we become bad bad parents or worse if you should see my kids faces as we break the news we are going to Auchan in Val de Europe for shopping.we are back with a weeks supplies about 19.45 kids are in bed sound asleep for 20.00 its been a long day for them but worth it i am sure i will be forgiven in the morning:guilty:
