November Trip

I will be traveling to Disney with my family November 7 - 15th. Yeah! Does anyone know what the crowds are like at this time. Some of the info on the web is conflicting. It seems my trip falls on Jersey week (whatever that means?), Food and Wine Festival and Super Soap weekend. Anyone been during this time or have any tips?

Welcome to the DIS.
Yes, that is Jersey week. It is called that because NJ schools have 2 or 3 days off that week for teacher conferences and election day. Many, many NJ residents take the week off and head to WDW. This year will be our 4th Jersey week trip.

The crowds are larger than usual for that time of year, but much smaller than summer or holiday weeks. We rarely wait more than 10 minutes to ride anything. It gets more crowded toward the end of that week as people arrive for Soap weekend. Soap weekend takes place at MGM and I dont' think it really affects crowds elsewhere that much.

Personally, I don't think F&W affects crowds at all since it lasts quite a while. It isn't like its just a couple of days that everyone crowds in for.

Be sure and look for me that week. I'll have my green Mickey heads and my DIS shirt on.

Hi! We went last year during this week. Crowds were great. Empty for WDW standards but yes there will still be alot of people there. There is always SOMETHING going on so don't sweat it. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting some event at WDW. Jersey week just means there will be a bunch of people from NJ there because they have an extra day off from school for teacher conferences. We had PERFECT weather and the longest wait we had was about 30 minutes. In the mornings we were getting off rides like Splash Mountain and getting right back on with no wait. We avoided MGM on Super Soap weekend and the only time we saw significant crowds was MK in the afternoon on the Friday after Veteran's day.

I think this week is getting a little more popular every year which explains why it is no longer considered value season, but I think it will still be great and you will have an awesome trip!!!!

We were last at WDW the first full week of November 2003.

The park was busy (to us ) but lines were reasonable. The longest wait we had was maybe 20 minutes. By using "fastpass" we were able to move in and out of attractions with minimal wait times.

Another bonus was that the weather was great. It was warm but not too hot (daily highs in the 70's & 80's), not humid, and fairly dry (one so-so day and one wet morning, the rest was sunny).

We liked the time period so much we are going back again this November!
