For those of you who frequent Disney in November I would truly use your input. I'm a bit concerned about flights. I know it all depends on where your flying out of and to but in any case I'm trying to get an idea because I've never traveled so close to a holiday and one being as big as thanksgiving.

We are either doing November 14-21 of 2015 which is Saturday-Saturday OR November 15-22 which is Sunday-Sunday. The price difference isn't big with Disney but I'm wondering which days would be cheaper to fly, the Saturdays or Sundays? Any input? Any is so very appreciated!!

TIA :)

And please feel free to move this thread if it's in the incorrect place... I wasn't sure.

Although do you think it would be cheap if we flew in the 17th and left the 24th with the 24th being two days before thanksgiving?

The closer to Thanksgiving the higher the price on flights. We originally booked our WDW res for the 15-22 using the fly on Saturday usually being cheaper, when checking flights we were surprised that Friday was about $50 cheaper and alot more flights were available. Play around with your dates to see what works best for you, We were able to add one night to the start of our trip. :)

Agreed! Keep checking! I booked southwest for Nov 11-15 paid about $210 pp coming from Norfolk, Va.. So not too bad.. I really wanted to stay till sunday but flights returning were $300! Nope dont think so, we come back sat $132.. To fly out Mon/Tues were about the same around $92 pp but I wanted my son to only miss 3 days of school...As long as your flexible...

Weekends are always more, with Saturdays being worse than Sundays. This is exactly why we go Wednesday to Tuesday or Wednesday. We go in November every year, this year Nov 12-18th. Our flights for 3 of us round trip, non-stop cost $479 TOTAL!!!! That is without bag fees but even with bag fees, each of us paid under $200 round trip. Had we flown out on a weekend, forget it. The price was so much more.

Have you checked the airline sites themselves? For Jet Blue and Southwest you have to go to their sites to check. For most other sites you could view prices all in one spot by using hipmonk or orbitz.

I just wanted to say see you at POFQ in November!

I don't know where you are flying out of, but I know Southwest has a fall sale going on right now. You could check that out. I looked at my flights from Flint, MI, and basically it depends on the date, not day, you pick as to which is cheapest. Good luck! I'll be vacationing with the Mouse Nov. 11th to 16th this year!

Saturday vs. Sunday is six of one, half a dozen of the other when it comes to flight prices. Last year we went Thursday 11/14 - Friday 11/21. This year we are going Friday 11/14 - Saturday 11/22. However, we priced out Saturday and Sunday departure/arrivals as well in case we wanted to extend our trip. Price difference is negligible.

I do think the Sunday beginning Thanksgiving week may be inclined to see some higher flight prices, because it's presumed people who are traveling may do so early in the week and take the whole week off. I'd want to be out of the parks by this day anyway, because crowds start to ramp up for this very reason.

Since you are a year out, start looking at what pricing for 2014 would looks like around those days of the week. That is what I did last year. We decided to go down the Friday before thanksgiving and back on Black Friday. Staying to Saturday would have cost us a boat load to come home.
