Has anyone traveled the end of November to the Bahamas? We are looking to book the Dream for the end of November and just curious how the weather is? Will it be warm enough to enjoy CC's water fun? :confused3 I'm wondering if we should go in October instead for warmer weather?

We went in the end of December. Unfortunately it was too windy for them to go to CC, so I am unsure of the water temp. But Nassau was warm. I do not think October to December would make a difference in the water temp.

I think you will be fine:thumbsup2 We went the last week of November and had no problems enjoying the beach at CC:goodvibes We have also cruised the first week of December and enjoyed the weather very much! Have an awesome cruise!

We have done two cruises in November and I love that time of the year. The weather was certainly warm enough at Castaway Cay. Somewhere in the 80's, do not recall the exact temperature.

we were on the wonder last November and it was beautiful at both stops..I think CC was in the 80's but not too hot.. We enjoyed that time so much we are taking a B2B this November..Great prices for great weather! what cruise are you thinking about doing??

We did an Eastern in Nov 2009. Our CC day was really windy and made it too cool to really enjoy CC. In fact, we were barely able to dock (we finally pulled in 2 hours late and all excursions were canceled). It was probably around 80, but it felt closer to 65 with the winds (especially when wet).

Was that the Thanksgiving week cruise on 09? If so, we were on the same cruise!:)

I remember, it WAS chilly.

We're from TX, and if the WATER is not at least 80-85 degrees (and it has to be warmer outside) then it's too cold:cold:for us.

We've done 3 early December and one late January cruise. I've laid out on the sun, jet ski-ed, and waded in the water. Definitely bathing suit ok, not necessarily all day swimimg weather. One year it was windy, but my excursions still went. It's a fine time to vacation!

We were on the Wonder last November and love it! The weather is perfect: sunny and 85*. We went snorkeling and the water was chilly by the shore, but once we got to the deeper end, the water was warm. We got tan. We would sail during November again, but decided to go this December for New Year's Eve.

yes....We always do the Sept cruise to Bahamas. And the water is fine, not too warm, not too cold. Last year, we did Bahamas in mid October. Water was ice cold. Now we are all Floridians so keep that in mind...

Hi,

We went last Nov. and it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. The water was cold, of course my kids enjoyed it but it was too cold for me. It was windy and that may have had an effect. We still did enjoy Castaway Cay .

I've been on 3 Disney cruises in November. All were right around Thanksgiving. The first year, the weather was very warm and the water was perfect. The second year, it was chilly and cloudy with a little rain. The water was a little chilly for us, but we're from Florida, so I get cold easily. This past year the weather was warm but a little cloudy. The water was a little chilly when you first got in, but easy to adjust to. It rained a little on CC day, but cleared up fast.

I've figured out that it really just varies, but we had loads of fun on every cruise :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for their input! :goodvibes. We decided to go ahead with the November cruise date! Being from CT, anything is better than the 30/20 degrees we'd be experiencing at the time! We're also killing 2 birds with 1 flight :thumbsup2 and spending Thanksgiving with my inlaws who live in FL. We're not going until November of 2012, but sure can't wait!party:

We have been a few times mid November. You actually have a better chance of better weather in Nov. October is prime hurricane season. The beach is great, sometimes they close the CC excursions due to wind.

You'll still have fun! Jill

We did Castaway and Bahamas in November 2008 and it was honestly too cold for my taste. We were lucky to even dock in CC because of the wind and all the activities were cancelled because of the wind. It was disappointing, but still a good time.

We were there mid-Nov 2010 and had a great day at the beach. The ocean was too cold for my liking, but it didn't stop my 6 year old. He chose to play in the ocean over going to the kids' area at CC. But it was fine to hang out on the beach in my swimwear.

We went on the Thanksgiving western Magic cruise in 2008. It was too cold at PC for me, 70°. Castaway Cay was too cold for me, can't remember the temp, but some brave people were in the water. Cozumel was hot.

We went on a Veteran's day cruise, DCL, last year and enjoyed swimming in Nassau and at CC.:thumbsup2

I was on the 11/14/2009 Double Dip on the Magic. Water temperature on Castaway Cay was accroding to the sign 76°F, air was in the mid-to-high 80's. As someone who lives in a part of the world where it is way too cold for swimming most of the time, I had no problems getting into the water.

I have sailed on 2 Thanksgiving Cruises and the weather was great. The water was still warm and we did not get the afternoon rains.:cool1:
