We are planning our trip the week after thanksgiven with children ages 3, 5 and 9 years old. I hear about people not liking November because of rides under construction. Can you tell me your experience and what rides usually go under construction. Are there that many? :) :sunny: :groom: :wave2: :Pinkbounc

Hi,

There is no "set" schedule for rehabs by month from year to year. All we know at this point is that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed from late October to late December. One water park is closed each year at that time, then when it reopens the other one closes for two months.

Keep checking back here

for details on rehabs as they are announced.

I find it's usually not that bad, maybe 4 or 5 attractions in all of WDW that we would otherwise have seen. As Bob said, there is no "set" schedule. They seem to rehab the rides most in need of it at that time, since it affects the fewest guests then. For example, I can't imagine IASW being rehabbed that time of year anytime soon, since it just finished a major rehab about a year ago.

I am just worried about popular rides in fanstyland and tommorwland being in rehabb.

They don't tend to close a lot of popular rides all at once. Maybe one and some smaller ones. You should be OK. If they close one in your must-do list, there should still be plenty left that won't make you miss it that much.

With low crowds, it's definitely worth the risk, specially if you've done them before.

It seems like September gets the most, followed by January. VERY few things are closed around the holidays. So I'd say the closer to Thanksgiving week the better for you.

In 04 we missed out on Blizzard Beach, but this November it will be Typhoon Lagoon closed.

Our only one we don't want to miss out again is Cranuim Command.

That makes me happy to hear that it will be typhoon lagoon closed this time and not blizzard beach. We went in 04 and BB was closed so we did TL, this time I will get to do BB :cheer2:
