November Magic Band

I saw last night I can get my bands for my trip. I did everything I knew to do will they ship after my time is up to make changes or can I rush the order.

If you are staying on property (which I assume you are) your bands will be at the front desk when you check in.
I was just at AKL last weekend and they had them ready for us at check in. We LOVED them BTW and they worked great everywhere we used them.

So they don't ship the bands ahead of time? I just noticed my bands are ready for customization yesterday. We arrive 10/31 and leave 11/5. I actually don't know when they were ready to be customized but finally went on to MDE yesterday to discover this. And one of the things I had to confirm was my shipping address.

If they do ship, it doesn't appear that I can ship three of the 8 bands to another address - our friends our coming with us and staying in our DVC resort on our points. Does anyone know if I could ship them separately? Shouldn't be a big deal if I get it early enough and have time to ship it to them myself.

I'll admit, I haven't been keeping up with Magic Bands stuff. I didn't think that we'd be included for this trip. Do I HAVE to pick out FP+? If I don't, can we still use regular FP when we get there? Ugh - so many questions....

We just got back last week and used the magic bands at pop century. Ours did ship to our home before we travelled, although there was a huge stack of them on check-in at pop for other guests. When we customized ours, they shipped within a day!

As for fast pass plus, I would take advantage of it. We are not over planners by any means, but it was really nice to grab some of the bigger ticket items ahead of time. Especially when we knew we'd be hitting a park in the evening. When we went to HS, we already had FPP for toy story, RnRC, and then fantasmic (gave us seats in the Pocahontas section...we got there at 7:45!) We also loved having it for meeting characters...so nice to walk right in and avoid a 30 minute wait! Made for a much happier child On another day, what we'd selected just didn't fit. We were able to make changes the day of and have it fit what we wanted to do.

It really is convenient! Plus, as of now you can sort of cheat the system and use the old system, but they don't want you to and we even had a cast member ask us not to! So don't rely on that.

Okay great - thanks for the input! I like the idea of doing it for some of the most high profile rides - particularly Toy Story Mania. I have yet to ride this and I think my kids will finally want to do it!
