Late November into early December doesn't look like much of a bargain to me either. I usually stay offsite (means I'm not used to paying the big onsite Disney premium), but wanted to treat myself to three nights onsite for a little mini trip Nov. 30 - Dec. 3 with two park days. This is after Thanksgiving coming in on the Monday and checking out on the Thursday, so I thought it would be a slower time. But OMG, my preferred room at the POP (wanted to be closer to the food court and Skyliner) with tax is running $323 a night (base rate of $287 before tax). We'll love the mini trip, but lol $323 a night doesn't sound like much of a value for this value room to me, so I feel your pain.
I checked out of curiosity what a preferred room at the CBR was for those dates too and with tax (the one you were looking at) it was over $500, $512 a night for those dates too. What?
I shouldn't complain as this is in my budget and I decided to do this (I do think WDW is tons of fun), but park tickets for two days are going to cost about $200 per person per day too, so around $800 for two of us. And then we're planning on going for lightening lanes too (one single one for each park we do if we can get it and a the multi lighting lanes - doing the MK and DHS). I'm surprised at how much these sell for, but we like so many people say gosh I'm spending so much to just get into the parks, I sure don't want to have to stand in too many long lines too and will buy these for a hopefully better experience. I think though maybe I'm living in another decade as I'm in shock about how much I'm spending on this.
