November in Disneyland

I was wondering, how come Disneyland doesn't do anything special for Thanksgiving but does it for Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. It is a major holiday which kids have off. Is it because kids normally don't get weeks off of school?

I was just wondering since I will be going for my birthday which is in november and I never hear about a Disneyland thanksgiving....hmmmmm

Christmas decorations are up - we were there last Thanksgiving and it was beautiful, definitely got us in the holiday spirit!! It would probably be too tedious to make that many switches - which would close rides more

This is because right after Halloween the Christmas decorations start going up. Christmas has become so popular that Disney has extended it into early November to try and dissapate the crowds a little. They do have Thanksgiving meals at the Disney hotels on Thanksgiving day.

I just look at the amount of decorations I have for Christmas (about 15 boxes) and Halloween (about 10 boxes) and the amount I have for Thanksgiving (1 box). Thanksgiving just isn't as festive to me as Halloween, Christmas, and new years. I agree with the OP, just not enough time between Halloween and Christmas to throw out additional decorations. Although they could recreate the burning cabin on TSI to a festive Thanksgiving gathering sans guns and arrows.

Knowing very little about DLR, I may be a little off, BUT --- they do have special Thanksgiving lunches on Thanksgiving. That's really all anyone else does for Thanksgiving, right???? It also is the "official" start of Christmas that weekend for the U.S., so it makes sense that apparently the Christmas parade starts that day.
