Anyone know when the best time is to book flights for November? I've been watching them since January, but they're all still sitting pretty high. We are only interested in direct from Toronto flights. With the dollar the way it is now, and the prices out of Buffalo, I don't see any savings that would be worth the extra two-three hours in the car.

We've never gone in November. The last time we went in the fall, we went in October and booked our flights in April. DH wants to wait and book last minute for a deal - I HATE booking last minute. It makes me anxious!

Thanks for any insight you might have!

I'm not of much help because I have only been following Buffalo. We originally where looking at a November trip and it was $896 return for 4 of us for the first 6 weeks after the dates where released. It has gone up now though :(.

Last year Pearson seemed the lowest about 8 weeks before our trip. I agree though waiting is very stressful!!

I booked about 3 weeks ago Oct 28-Nov 8 and paid $457.71 taxes in. Direct YYZ to MCO.

Sunwing has Nov flights-direct-taxes in at $428
Westjet is at $435
Air Canada is at $439

Thanks for posting, I'm in the same boat as you. Hoping to get some ideas to when to buy our tickets.

Just a quick reminder. Since you are flying in Nov., be sure to avoid flying over the US Thanksgiving period, if you can possibly manage it. More Americans travel then than for Christmas, and airports are crazy busy as a result.

I know you said no to Buffalo but I just bought $198 direct on southwest:cool1:

We are going the week before US Thanksgiving. My DH will only book flights when they're less than $400 each (all-in) from Toronto. I found a Westjet/Air Canada combo but we would have to do a Wed-Thu...my pet peeve. Really hoping for a Fri-Sun. I don't want our DS9 to miss too much school.

JetBlue just released flight schedule to include November. Book as soon as you can...the prices start out great and steadily rise!

Also looking to fly out in November, but I'm on the east coast in Halifax. The best price I've found so far was a United flight with a stop in NJ for about $650 round-trip through Orbitz.com. Don't know if I'll be able to find something cheaper than that...but willing to wait a couple of months just to take a chance. When you're flying from Canada, every penny counts.

Did JetBlue start flying from Toronto? lol. Their flights are $1260 USD. I can get Toronto flights in CDN for $1350. It's cheaper with the exchange, and I only have to drive 1/2 hour to the airport...not over three hours to Buffalo.

bought ours few months ago, YOw-YYZ-MCO , return MCO-YOW on West jet for $450 all in. We have 7 people for OCt 22nd so we committed early> So far I have not seen our exact flights go any lower, they have gone up, and back to the same. But not lower. So I am content on what we got.

It will just depend on if you are happy with the current price...or not. Knowing that you take a chance on the rates changing...

1 perk with West Jet: Free baggage vs $25/bag Air Canada, each way.
also, the direct return flight to Ottawa was a huge bonus

Ya, November was released a few months ago with JetBlue so the prices are high now. They just released Jan 5th-Feb 11th which doesn't help you. I find if you book on release the savings are big but after that not so much. The dates we are looking at from buffalo for the 4 of us is $872 and from Toronto is $2089......crazy.

We always fly on week days and find we save a lot of money that way and we either book with Jetsblue out of Buffalo or Southwest/Air Tran out of Detroit and find they have the best prices. Prices change on a daily basis so just keep looking until you see a price you like. We waited until the month before last November and got a great deal, but this year we got a decent deal booking back at the start of May. I would NEVER fly out of Toronto and we are less then an hour from the airport.

i know that right now until june 12 i think air canada has a deal! we are flying from moncton to toronto and then mco on nov 18 with west jet but I'm flying with air miles... can i ask where are you staying on property i guess we will be there the same time :)
