I am trying to plan a trip to WDW Nov 19 - 24. Historically, have they ever had a discount for that time frame? I would love free dinning at that time but I will take what I can get. If there are no discounts we will stay at POP..if there is a discount we will upgrade a little.

thanks!!

Last year free dining as well as a room discount were offered at that time. We took advantage of the room discount because it was just DH and I for a 4 day weekend trip, I think it was 30% or 35% at POFQ. We're booked for Nov. 15-Nov. 20 this year with a pin code I received via a snail-mail postcard but I'm really hoping that FD is offered again because this trip there are 4 of us going and FD would save me even more. Are you registered at the Disney site? If so, you might get lucky and get a pin. :)

yes, I am registered at their site and I updated it last night just to make sure.
I would love FD also. I would love to save a little money. I don't know if I can wait to see if an offer comes out. I am so excited I can't stand it.

Thanks

I know what you mean about being excited, I don't know if I can stand it for the next almost six months.
The trick that worked for me to get a pin, I actually ended up with two of them within four days of each other, but one was 5% better off the room). I followed the "tricks" that seemed to be working for a couple of weeks. What I did was open 2 new accounts at Disney with different email addresses, then at the Disney site I saved an itinerary, not a saved vacation, when the drop down asked where I was staying I clicked "non-Disney hotel" and that I needed tickets. Worked like a charm to get the first pin the very next day in my email and the snail mail was linked to the 2nd new account I created and arrived in my mail box four days after the first one. Like I said, I'd love FD but at least I got something if that doesn't work out.

I got the pin code for free dining from 10/3-12/31. We are staying at the Pop from Nov 13-20. After years of no pin codes I have gotten 4 in the last 2 months. Rumor has it that it will be released to the public the first part of July :cool1:

Is your pin just for free dining. Is it also a discounted room? I am looking to go the same dates you are. I am just waiting to see what discounts they offer if they do.

Hey I want to try this. Where do you go to fill out an itinerary?

Go to disneyworld.com, near the top, slightly left of center, mouse-over "my disney vacation", "itinerary" is listed 2nd, right after "profile". Click it. It'll have "build a new itinerary", only takes a few seconds. Make sure to complete your profile as well. Good luck! :thumbsup2

It was for free Quick service dining at the values and the DDP at the moderate level and above. We booked the Pop Century and paid the extra to upgrade to DDP. This way saved us $350 from just paying to stay at a moderate.

Thank you so much. I feel so dumb that I couldn't find it LoL. Thank you again. I am going to try to get a PIN also. I hope I can get one.

I have a question. If some people are getting pin offers for free dining for 10/3-12/31 right now does that mean that they will open up free dining for everyone at some point?

I hope so but nobody knows, I'm pretty sure last year was the first time that FD was extended.
