Hi

We still cant make our minds up. Before we were ready to hit that book button, but since then we have found November to be much cheaper than Oct. Also we get to see the lights and Christmas party. One problem is the dates. We cant leave until around the 11th, due to my husbands job. I noticed it will be thanksgiving. Fingers crossed it will only be packed for the first week/weekend we are there.

From a brit perspective how is the weather? Would we be able to go to the water parks? Should be pack for all kind of weathers? What are the crowds like worse than August for thanksgiving weekend?

:confused3

Ive been 3 times in November and each time it has been hot, hot, hot! Its a great time to go, the weather is fab, easily hot enough for water parks etc, it gets cooler in the eves but all you need is a jumper. The crowd levels are brilliant, before Thanksgiving it is usually very, very quiet with the rides having only 5 min waits at most. It does get busy over Thanksgiving but only for that weekend and it is still manageable. November is my favourite time to go as you get the great weather with low crowds. :goodvibes

I agree with Jen, overall a good time to go.

Weather is becoming a bit more difficult to predict and I would be surprised if it wasn't fairly cool in the morning's and evening's.

As for the water parks I would just play it by ear, if there are days when it is cooler then just pick another day to go.

We only ever go in November and have had fantastic times. Thanksgiving is on 22nd November so not until the end of your trip. It gets busy over that weekend but we have never found it unbearable. We fly out on 21st November

 :rotfl: I agree with poohspals. We have been the past 2 years and it is great.I have also been in sept and october and this is by far the beat time.We only had one day of rain and not even a spot for the rest of the stay.It tends to be a bit chilly in a mornng up to about 10.00am then again in the evening. We bought a disney sweatshirt which we wore on an evening. Thanks giving is a busy weekend and I found mgm and magic kingdom the worst for queues over that time.I f going for 2 weeks do some shopping/water park those days.Longest wait we had was 25 mins.We went to universal the tues after thanks giving got there for opening at 9am and the park was dead-walked on everything and did the whole park by 2pm but had a leisurley dinner.
Unfortunatley due to my DH being at Uni and DD4 we are having to go late july /august!!! Not a good time compared to november but its better a week in majorca!!:cheer2:

We were there late October/early November (until 9th) last year and it was fantastic! The weather was absolutely fabulous during the day. Shorts, t-shirts and sunscreen weather. By night, especially the last couple of nights, it got very cold so you'd need at least a sweatshirt, if not a jacket, for at night. But honestly, we couldn't have asked for better weather. The Christmas decorations went up on November 2nd/3rd so you'll get to see all those too. :thumbsup2

This answers a lot of my questions too. We will be there for the first week in November and I'm hoping to see the Christmas decorations. Sounds like we're in with a chance.:lmao:

Thanks for your advice. I cant wait to book it. We will be fingers crossed leaving on the 6th November for 14 nights.

Veterans day on the 11th Nov, does this make any difference at all with the park crowds?

We're going from 25th Oct to 10th Nov, and I have read that the last portion of our stay (7th-11th Nov) is Jersey week when a lot of schools in NJ and elsewhere have time off, so attendance goes up. Also there is a soapstars thing at MGM so you may want to avoid that park on the weekend of the 10th/11th. HTH :)

19TH Nov 2005 to 3rd Dec

Crowds around thanksgiving was heavy but not as bad as i expected. I was told to avoid Magic kingdom on Thanksgiving and go to the others which seemed to work. The week after thanks giving was super as there was hardly any crowds at all. All the chistmas things are a must see.

Weather wise in the two weeks it rained on about 2 days but on and off. The weather was warm and was ideal for us, the evening were abit cilly and we just took a fleece or something with us to cover that.

I find November better than our trip in June as it was too hot and was so tired all the time. In november we had more energy to explore and enjoy ourselves.
