November Car Rental Rates at Dollar

For those travelling in November, double check the car rental rates at Dollar. I just checked today and my rate is down to 159 total for 1 week in a full size car! That includes taxes and fees. Just put in your dates with no codes and then when you see the car selection, hit "city specials." I think there are also cheap rates on economy, standard, and minivans. I hope this helps someone get a cheaper rate!

Is Dollar on-site with no shuttle involved? We usually use National but the rates are so HIGH right now that I think we'll have to go with another place but I'd rather not have to deal with a shuttle.

Yes, they are right onsite. Easy for pickup/dropoff!

I always use Dollar if they are available where I'm at. I had a reservation for a full size car for 4/16/11-4/23/11 @ $275+/- + taxes etc. I check all the time, it went up to $381+, I was psyched that I had the lower rate , I just re-reserved the same car and added a day for $206 base rate = $282 including taxes, not including insurance. Moral of the story is...check often the rates are always going up or down

Hi....just wanted to THANK YOU for the info........I am so used to putting CODES in; well, I did what the OP said and got a GREAT rate under "city specials" from Dec. 1st through Dec. 10th !!!! So thanks so much !!!!! No more Magical Express for us !! ! I LOVE the freedom of having our own car !!!

Thanks for the info. I did check for my dates and it's not much less than National for the week so I'll have to keep checking. I'm glad to hear that they are on-site though so it's another option.

Unfortunately it doesn't work so well for Thanksgiving week 11/20-11/26, Best I could get was a compact for $148.13 incl taxes an fees, which is a few dollars lower than it was a couple of weeks ago. Full size is $188.44

Oh well I'll keep checking.

I am going to disney from 11/13 to 11/20 and got a rental car for 142 incl taxes an fees at dollar. It's a compact car. I think that's a pretty good price. That was with no discount codes or anything. I couldn't find any discount codes for that time.

Was looking for a full-size for next April school vacation -- 4/14/-4/22-- and could only find $400-$700 rentals!!!!

Dollar with no codes just gave me $282 all taxes/fees included!

More than I usually pay, but much less than the others. I'll take it!

I just booked Dollar for 11/9 - 11/14. Although it's 5 days, I got a weekly rate. Without a promo code, but after clicking the "City Special" link, the rates are $200.76/week ($265.36 with fees) for a minivan and $106.25 ($154.63 with fees) for a full size.

Have any of you used the Lock Low and Go from Dollar for your dates? I got a fabulous rate (under $100 base for less than a week), but I've never used Dollar, let alone that particular deal before, so I'm a little nervous about it.
