November airfare from Buffalo

I am considering a last minute trip from Nov 25 - 28 out of Buffalo (hopefully a morning flight to MCO and a late flight for the return to BUF) for my daughters' Birthday and to see the Christmas decorations.

I have been watching the Southwest fares but they still aren't that great... I am wondering 2 things... first, should I book the hotel and hope for cheap airfare or wait for the airfare to come down, then book the hotel. Secondly, has anyone ever gotten good fares at that time of the year?

We are annual pass holders and have been down for 2 weeks already this year... I am really trying to do this on a budget!

thanks!

Given that that is U.S Thanksgiving weekend...I am not sure you'll see the fares drop significantly?

My DD lives in NYC and I booked her air home for that long weekend ages ago (6 months?) to get a decent price.

My mom and I are travelling just before that time. I booked our flights months ago. They have climbed significantly since then. It cost us under $300 round trip....now it's about $500 round trip. Very expensive.

I would try looking at DirectAir. They have a families sale promotion going on right now. Airfage $149 or something each way guaranteed. Its a continuing sale. Even though you go into Lakeland airport and need to get a taxi into Disney....you will save significantly with airfare and the cost of the taxi wont seem so much. Both airports are the same distance.

Direct Air flies out of Niagara Falls, NY. They are good and reliable. Give them a try. Will be much cheaper.

I agree with the 2 DISers above.
Being Thanksgiving, I don't think the price will go down a lot.
Also, DirectAir could be a good alternative.

I booked my (early) November airfare tickets 2 months ago, paying 40% more than in 2010. And I still think I got a good deal, compared to prices now.

Airtran and Jetblue nonstop flights from Buf for $314 inc taxes for those dates. Directair is $310 from Niagara Falls, NY to Lakeland.

Wow. I have JetBlue as being just under $1000......I guess it depends on what times you want to fly. And that is two people. Going for just 4 days, I would want the early morning flight and the late coming home.....they aren't cheap, they are the most expensive. The late flight coming IN is cheap but then you waste a day....and leaving again cheap, so lose a day. Im still thinking DirectAir is your best bet.
