Once 'unofficial' things are planned, I'll try to put links in my signature. [no, I'm not an agent.] Stuff I organize will be open to whomever, since not everyone [for whatever reason] books thru DU, and I always figure the more the merrier. Folks at DU should update on all the 'official' events. Separate list, or just a separate column? Rename list/columns to make them more neutral if you're not booked thru DU?

I have no experience with podcasters so I don't know if it's going to matter? I would think a column indicating podcast yes or no might suffice?

I'm wondering if this group doesn't just set up our own FE list. I suspect PCC is going to be pretty exclusive. Perhaps we should give it some more time but from the looks so far I don't expect much participation from PCC with non PCC. I hope that's not the case! I was hoping to test the waters with PCC for the next PCC cruise but exclusivity turns me off. I've been listening to podcasts and discovered a whole new world. Poor dh.

Some folks are exclusive. I would venture to say most aren't. There are just so many threads to keep up with. [And $$ for FE can be prohibitive, tho' on one cruise we split into 'groups', and you got one FE from each group.]

Hey everyone, we signed up for this cruise since it was a PCC and just want to be check out the reimagineered Magic. Given the kids have school we are probably 85-90% committed. This is our first PCC so we are newbies to the group.

I'm a relatively passive DisBoards member and a long time podcast listener. This will be our 5th cruise. As for the Podcast team, our family met Pete once at the welcome center when it first opened. As I said we are newbies, but looking forward to the DIS sponsored events and getting to know some of you.

For now, I am going to hold off on any unofficial activities such as Cabin Crawls or FEs until we know for sure we are going.

Oh yeah, our team is Myself, DW, DD(13), DS(9).

Hi I'm not with the podcast but I'm so excited to be on the nov 30th disney magic how do I do the FE thing this is our 5th cruise and on our last one fantasy nov 30th 2013 I found out about it! Sounds like fun! What is the podcast? also only our second time cruising from Florida best towels to stay at the night before. We stayed at Disney's art of animation or he last one.

Cruises to date: wonder all 7 nights 2011, 2012, 2012, Fantasy 2013 next up Magic 2014 yahoo!! Disneyland x5 a year if we can make it from Northern California. My daughters love Disneyland both spent their sweet 16 Birthdays at club 33

We also did this date in 2013 and when I learn it was PCC 5.0 we signed up right away, like the day we watched the podcast. This will be our 7th cruise since we are doing a Magic cruise in May 2014. That cruise will mean we have been on all four ships. I would strongly suggest if you can use Dreams Unlimited do so. There will be several DU events for clients only. Including a concert by Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel. Plus much more.

Since there aren’t a bunch of people, yet, we can just commandeer a couple tables at one of the lounges.

Cruises are so much more fun if you feel you know other people.

Were happy to take part in unofficial events to some extent.
We're definitely FE people. I was considering being part of a room crawl and offering up the Roy suite for a tour but wasn't sure if that was official DU or unofficial.
I'm not good at leading groups but happy to join in!

Cabin/room crawl is unofficial. You can wait 'til later to sign up, ALMinVA, or folks may come just to see, and not participate otherwise.

I'm more than happy to keep list, and once DU announces official schedule, we'll set up a time for meet & greet, and cabin/room crawl. I'm shooting for early in cruise, since as we go along, rooms will get messier.

Count me in for the cabin crawl!! Not really into the FE being that I am traveling solo. As for the meet & greet, is that usually done before the cruise or after it starts? This is my first cruise so I am still trying to learn stuff. I was also wondering about some of the passes people have mentioned about drinks and services, what are these? Does anyone know if they are/will be offered for this cruise?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Meet & greet is during the cruise, 1st or 2nd day. Will know more later after DU schedule is announced. Don't want it to conflict.

Don't know much about drink passes. I just get the wine package for dinner, since DD and her friend are old enough to drink, now. I don't drink but 1 or 2 drinks per day, often at the show.

These boards are wonderful for answering questions. There's a thread for just about any question you have.

We officially booked this cruise!
We boarded the fantasy on 11/30/13... Now we get to look forward to the magic on 11/30/14!!!! Life is GOOD!!!!
Our friend, Ndsmorrison, has already been active on this thread. We met them here on the DIS and our FB page before our last cruise and we are looking forward to hanging out with them again! Can't wait to get to know more vacation friends!
Have to admit, I know nothing about the podcast stuff... Will research it a bit so I can understand what it is but don't see it as something we will participate in. Would we be missing out on some awesome stuff? Anyone want to give advice?
Is there a Facebook group yet? If not, anyone mind if we get one started? I find it easier to get to know others that way.
