November 26, 2006 Wonder check in, don't be shy!!!

Hoping to get our cruise docs soon also. We boooked through a TA so maybe they will be sent to her!
Booked a banana boat ride for CC. Should be fun! :rotfl:

:cool1: Our cruise documents arrive today! Yea! Now, we can "officially" get excited. :yay: :cheer2: :dance3: My children tell EVERYONE, "We are going on the Disney boat". They don't speak quietly. :ssst: I am sure everyone in Texas knows by now. I am so blessed to have a DH that can give his children a WONDERful experience like a Disney cruise. :earsboy: DH and I never went to WDW as children. :earsgirl: The first time was two years ago with DS6 pirate: and DD4 princess:.
:sail: Today, I bought some more goodies for the cruise. I got some cute squirt bottles (Cars for DS6 and Disney Princesses for DD4). I figure they can fill them on deck 9 or fill them with the bottled water we are bringing onboard for our excursions. :drinking1 Also, they have a compartment in the bottom. It is the perfect size for a chocolate chip cookie (room service) or small snack. I am making the kids gift baskets with sand pails we already have. I found the gift baskets offered online to be expensive when I can do the same cheaper. pixiedust:
:car: We leave next Tuesday for WDW. Yea! I can't wait to ride Dumbo with DS1. :dumbo:
:wave2: Everyone have a safe trip to port. We will see y'all onboard soon! :hourglass I'll be the exhausted looking Mommy most likely holding DS1(Cole). :faint:
I'd post a family photo, but I am not allowed to post photos yet.

The cruise docs were sent from Orlando, so that's probably why we got them today. We're a 1.5 hour drive from there in St. Petersburg. I'm guessing that's why HoldensMommy got them today too since they are in Jacksonville.

They were sent via UPS 3 Day, so everyone should get them by Tuesday - Just keep a lookout for the brown truck!

By the way, TXTaylors, I love your use of the smilies. They make me laugh each time I read one of your posts.

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping3: My children are usually in the office when I am on the computer and they love the little smilies.
I'd use more if they had their way. :jumping1:

Tuesday comes and goes and still no documents for us..... :guilty:

:magnify: Ours were just left by our front door behind a potted plant. Make sure you check near your front door. They may have tried to conceal it when they left it there. :confused3 If you don't receive before Friday, I'd call DCL if I were you.
Good Luck! :wave2:

I have been to Nassau before and explicitly told my husband that he was free to venture forth when the ship docked on Monday morning but I would not be joining him...I hate to say it but I changed my mind...I got the list of travelzoo's top 20 deals and saw the $99 deal for a room (the prices is per room not per person) and booked it.

Bascially, you can't check into your room until 3PM, but you can use all of the facilities starting at 8am which gives you access to all of their pools, water slides, beaches, etc. The bad news will be if it rains...but I have read other trip reports where passangers from the Disney ship took the Atlantis excursion in the rain and had a lot to look at....plus by having a room at the resort you get more access to the facilities.

Just wanted to pass this deal along...

Ahhhh Wednesday and no documents..... :sad2: I went out and checked all around and couldn't find them......say a prayer that they may be here tommorow!!!

Bummer. If it makes you feel any better, there's really nothing that interesting in the packet. And, the fact is that you'll be boarding that cruise ship in 11 days - Yippee!!!

oh....I couldn't remember if we needed anything in the packet to get on the ship.......do we???

:boat: Our documents packet contained the following:

Checklist booklet

(4) Luggage Tags for each traveller (Not that I plan on bringing 20 pieces of luggage!)

(5) Bahamas Immigration Forms (one for each traveller)
Reminder to everyone to fill one out for each member of your family. Yes, even the babies!

Vouchers for each traveller
(It states on the voucher to bring to port!)

Orlando International Airport Map

"Thank you" Letter
(We completed the Online Check-In Signature Forms. Make sure to
bring to port
!)

Stateroom Decorations advertisement

pixiedust: I am bringing ALL the documentation to port. The voucher may be the boarding ticket and needed to sail. It states on it "Please remember to bring along all required travel documents, including this booklet... Failure to do so, may result in travel delays or restrictions." Then again, this is our first cruise and your best place for confirmation information is DCL directly.

GOOD LUCK!!!!! :shamrock:

Sorry :guilty: Didn't mean to imply we didn't need anything from the packet, just that there's nothing all that interesting. I was just trying to make you feel better about not having them yet. So, as long as you guys get it before leaving home, you'll be fine.

Heading to the Disney store today to look for t-shirts and stuffed animals for the kids. I like the idea of having a "welcome basket" in the room. BTW, our Target just put a ton of Disney stuff in their $1 bins. Mickey and Tinker bell were the main items. Some neat things for the kids in there. :tink: ::MickeyMo

Came home from work and the Docs were in the door..... :cool1: .... ....I was starting to get that 1 week to go and "Did I really book the cruise???" thoughts were going through my head!!!!
Ok now.....where and when are we all meeting up on Sunday!!!!????

:cool1: Yea! I know you are relieved. I was starting to get worried for you. I believe the meet was at 5:15 PM Main Lobby. Correct me anyone if that is wrong. By the way previous cruisers, what time does the sail away party usually end? Thanks! Almost cruise time! :hourglass

:confused3 I was at our Target today and I knew I should have gone back to the toy area. I am almost done with the kid's gift pails. Just need a few little thing. Have you seen the new life-size Furr Real pony they have displayed? I saw it last week. It is really neat. Of course DD4 wants one from Santa. I hope Santa gives me the $200 for it! Every little girl wants a pony. princess:

I work for Mattel and Fisher Price so I have seen many of those ponies for sale....not many going out the door though. I am sooooo ready for this vacation....7 days to go till we leave!!!! It is to snow while we are away....too bad :lmao: The party is really not that long as I remember...it was inside because of bad weather for us last year...our weather looks great so far!!!!! :wizard:

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I just found a copy of the Navigators from the 11/5 sailing of the Wonder. :) If you guys want a "sneak peek" at all of the activities, they are posted at castawayclub.com. Just click on Navigators and then scroll down to the 4 night listings. They don't change much from sailing to sailing, so this should give us a pretty good idea of the itineraries.

Here's the info I found on the Oceaneer's Club for the first day:
From 1:45 - 3:00 it's open for "family time" I guess just to check it out.
Then from 4:30 - 6:00 it's open for registration and then reopens from 6:30 - midnight with activities and a movie.

I think I'll take advantage of the family time and take DS3, KJ, in there so he can see everything and I can try and get him excited about playing in there without us. I've already started showing him pictures I've found online of the club, so it will look familiar once we get on the ship. Also, (don't want to sound creepy but this works with my son) I've been telling him he'll get to meet some new friends named Emily, Will, and Holden. :)

Trying to do everything I can think of now so he'll be willing to go in there and play. I'm definitely planning on taking advantage of the movies/quiet time at night. We had so much fun last time at all of the after-dinner adult entertainment (the 80's night in the nightclub was a blast!)

That is not creepy, I also told Holden that he was going to meet a little boy named KJ that was the same age as him at the "Disney School" (see we all have a different way to trying to get this to appeal to our children). I have been hyping the Oceaneer Club as a "Disney School" so that he understands it is similar to his daycare but with a lot more fun Disney activities.

Keep the tips coming....this is our first cruise and I can use the advice....
