Its getting so close we can taste it. One day of work, Thanksgiving and then we are headed south to Florida. I just need to pick up some small items today, put my clothes into the garment bag and I'll be done. :cool1:

By 3:00 pm, I hope to be doing the vacation dance.

We are traveling on Friday and weather looks like clear skies. Based on the news reports, I wish good luck to anyone traveling today. Thanks to Delta for now actions before our trip. Though I did get a call from them asking us to change our flight times because they are overbooked. I declined and hope will not effect me on Friday.

I hope everyone has a great and safe thanksgiving. :daisy:

See you all in a few days!!

I hope to be doing my vacation dance by 2:00 pm today. However, I get to drive two hours to the beach today and then two hours back on Friday Night, then get my flight saturday. I wish we had thanksgiving in town this year.

I have not heard or gotten anything else from Delta since they changed my return flight to 11:55 am on Saturday. I am really hoping we have no issues with customs and I can get to the airport early.

For those of you leaving early or have left to Fla.

Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! :goodvibes and we will see you on Saturday wearing our green mickeys.

We can now say we're leaving the day after tomorrow!! DH flies in from Seattle tonight at midnight (his mom is doing much better - praise God!)

Gotta tell ya that DH has been a hoot about all the things he is going to do on Thursday before we leave on Friday . . . First, he wanted to get his car inspected (we did it for him earlier in the week). Then he wanted to go to the bank and get our cash for the trip (I'm headed to do that today). Now, I'm hoping he adds to that list . . . raking all the piles of leaves! and getting the Christmas decorations down from the attic. . . LOL. Oh and eating some turkey, too.

Well off to clean the house and finish up those kitchen cabinets. It's been a big job to redo the kitchen cabinets, but it will be worth it. I love the new brighter look.

All this and a relaxing vacation, too.

Have a terrific last day of work!

Dialady - When you get done with your cabinets mind starting mine :rotfl2:

LOL .. . there are something in life that I only do for DH . . .LOL. The good news is that it wasn't that hard or difficult . . just time consuming . . .

Maybe I'll send ya a picture when they're done (well as soon as DH brings back the camera from Seattle).

Have a lovely day!

Jonesing wroteDW and friend also bring their own gear. Got it cheap at Sam's Club 2 years ago. This time they aren't bringing the fins because they didn't help, took up too much space and they swim like otters anyway! Me? I swim like a big stone so baby and I will find something else to do!

Yeah the flipper space is an issue. So my husband gets it packed in his bag (tee hee) so I have more space for stuff.

A client of mine just called with a "last minute before you leave" project today so I guess I won't get any shopping done. DH is home and is helping out by doing laundry, watching DD and running last minute errands.

You guys are so lucky to be finished with work by 3:00. I still need to work until 5pm and then I will do a vacation dance. Of course, I have 10 items on my todo list today, so I need to get to them. Still need to get the darn magnets :rolleyes1 , nothing like waiting to the last minute!

I just found out that the person I was hoping on covering my Swim Meet next week can not do it. I have been frantically trying to find another coach, so I do not need to worry about it next week.

Although I only have 30 minutes till the vacation dance, I am frantically hoping I can get a coach to do it.

I pulled into work at my usual 0930 and there are about 40 ;) cars in the lot--we have about 350 people in this facility--gee, you'd think there was a holiday or something! :rotfl: I planned on staying a half day but now that it's almost noon, the 40 cars are down to 28! I figure if I don't leave before 2pm I'm going to have spend 30 minutes to do the walkabout (check secured areas, turn off lights and coffee brewers) and then set the building alarm! No way man! I've got stuff to do! :earboy2:

I am finally starting to pack! Does anyone know what the weather in the evening is like? Are we talking pants and long sleeve shirts or short sleeve???

Help!

I just discovered these boards and we're going this Sat too! I looked at a few posts (very jealous of the manicures and pedicures) and have a question. Why are you bringing magnets?

Thanks,
Mary

Mary, I was wondering the same thing. I found this a couple of days ago, but don't have time to read all 70 pages!

Hey guys Mary and jfishkind, We are trading magnets that represent our hometown/state.

If you take a look at post #358 - in my signature there is a link. It tells about the cruise meet on Saturday at the Goofy Pool at 3:00.

As for the clothes in the evening. I would still wear short sleeves and a have a jacket or a sweater to put on over it. It really only gets cold when you are on the deck when the wind is hitting you.

Hopefully that helps. I am getting ready to head to the beach, so I do not know how much more I will be able to look at the boards until Friday. By then most of you will be in Florida.
