We have been going in October the last several years and have also been in December in the past. But this year we are going November 12-19. I've never been in November before but we're hoping to be able to enjoy the Christmas decorations. I would love any feedback on this time and what to plan/look forward to. And maybe an idea of the crowds as compared to early/mid October.

Thanks!

We are going November 1-12 for our first November trip. I asked about the Christmas decorations a month or two ago and was told that they will go up in Magic Kingdom on November 1 and more slowly over the next few weeks in the resorts.

The MK decorations will be up by the first Christmas party. Resorts will add them slowly starting around that time. We went that week in 2012 and last year and the crowds were fairly low during the week. Assuming that Food & Wine will be in its last weekend on the 12th Epcot will be busy. We also found MK to be very busy that Sunday as well. After that smooth sailing. Never been in October.

So I would attend a Christmas Party. Should do it at least once. Jungle Cruise transitions to Jingle Cruise with Xmas theming through the jungles.

That week is our family's favorite time to go! The lack of crowds during the week is wonderful; weekends can get busy with the end of F&W/beginning of Thxgiving. The parks are decorated, but not so much the resorts. The weather is usually still warm enough to get some pool time or water park (we're from Georgia). However, usually only one of the WPs is open and the other is closed for refurb. So, a few of the pros and cons of that week...

Crowd levels are not too bad but will grow thru the week. By the end of your trip most of the decorations will be up even at the resorts (you didn't say where you were staying). The weather might be warm enough to swim but it might not be. We've had some days in the high 70's and a few in the low 60's. We've always enjoyed our stays that time of year.

Thanks for all the info so far! Excited to hear the crowds will be lower during the week. October used to be not too bad but has gotten busier each year it seems. We are booked at Bay Lake Tower on our DVC points but we will probably try to move somewhere else if we can. I'm excited because DH will do the Christmas party with us, he likes that one. What date does the F&W festival end?

I believe it ends Monday the 13th. We are also booked at blt that week, but hoping to switch to Poly :)

Thanks for the heads up about MK on Sunday last year. I was hoping it would be quiet since it's a party day.

See you there! :-)

We will be there between the 9-16. First time going in November. My research has shown lower crowds and Christmas décor. I cant wait!

We are going that same week. We have been that week before and found it to be lower crowds. Last year we went a week earlier and it was much more crowded.

seems like a perfect week. Jersey week ends on the 12th and dapper days are the 18th and 19th.

We'll be there the 10th-13th. I know Epcot will be crowded because that's the last weekend of Food and Wine, but it's the only weekend that works for everyone's schedules, so we'll make the best of it, but otherwise I'm hoping for lower crowds. I'm spoiled by mid- to late-January trips! I'm really looking forward to seeing the Christmas decorations in MK...I haven't seen MK around the holidays in about 20 years.

Before we moved to Florida, this was our favorite time to come down! You'll love it -- lower easily managed crowds, beautiful weather, Christmas decorations going up - I predict it'll be your new favorite time to Disney

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm really excited about trying a new time and getting to see the Christmas decorations and do the Christmas party again. October has gotten busier and busier the last few years. I think we're going to really enjoy November!

We are going the last week of November (11/27-12/2) and I could not be more excited for all of the Christmas things and the cooler(ish) temperatures. Last trip was at the end of Oct 2015 and we were there right at Halloween and it was so special to see all of the decorations and go to the Halloween party. That was our first trip as adults with our own kid. Growing up we always went in the dead of summer and although we had fun, it was just so hot. I'm spoiled now and will probably never go in summer again, ever!

November is our second favourite time to go, mid December is #1.

You get a nice taste of the Christmas season and for the most part the weather is awesome for us Canadian folk who tend to combust in the heat :D

On that note, be prepared for a myriad of weather. We've been warm, comfortable and twice down right cold. And cold in Florida is damp chill to the bone cold due to the humidity. My advice is bring layers and a wind breaking light jacket. We only had hoodies and sweaters on our last Nov. trip and we had to forgo our last day ion the parks because we were so cold. The wind was cutting right through our layers. It's rare and usually only lasts a day or two, but those cold snaps do occur.

We are heading down Nov. 5-17. A couple of Christmas parties, hopefully some Jingle Bam fireworks, a little Food and Wine and light-ish crowds. Can't wait!!
