November 2013 Magic Band...Replace?

We have Magic Bands from our November 2013 trip. We will be going to WDW January 2016 and I am wondering if I should deactivate old ones and get new ones. I understand that the battery may have a 2 year lifespan. Should I get new ones? Thank you!

I'm still using mine each trip from October 2013. I do take a back up set though but have had no issues at all.

I wouldn't deactivate it, but I would also get new ones, and then see how long that battery does last.

There is no need to deactivate the old ones, but I would get new ones just in case any of the batteries did go bad. Have a great trip

It depends on what you're using it for. The short range scanner should last nearly forever. So that would be anywhere you tap bands like paying and park entrance.

The battery powered portion would be for the long range scanners. I think the only thing that effects is getting ride photos automatically.

So the band should work fine butif your planning on getting ride photos you might want to invest in a new one to be safe.
