I have three HUGE eaters so I'd be shocked if they don't touch their food :lmao:

Yes, we need to request an Alligator Bayou room as well. we have two girls and a boy as well! What week are you goin? We are planning on getting there 11/24-12/01.

We are going 11/3-11/11. I wanted to go later but my daughter starts her aggressive practice schedule for her Nutcracker performance early in November. Their dance studio takes it seriously, lol.

It looks like our kids are similar in ages though! We have 9, 6, and 2.

my dates can still change......just thinking I still need to figure out the highschool thing, my dd starts 9th grade next year so need to figure out how many days she can actually miss without it interrupting her possible chorus class

Our dates arent changing but I need to figure out how DD's viola lessons will be impacted....oh the worries of planning a wdw vaca! lol

Looks like a lot of you are stay at POR. We considered there, but we're about an hour away from New Orleans so I'd rather stay at a resort that doesn't look like home to me. :lmao: Maybe one day as I'm sure it's an incredible resort.

I was going to work on my planning last night, but I'm having computer issues so I ended up crocheting my DS a scarf. Not exactly Disney, but I've been promising him one. Just a little more to go.

@ jenandjuice - I see you are from Lewisville. I used to live in Las Colinas. Oh, how I miss TX!! :lovestruc We plan to move to DFW, Mobile or Orlando in a few years. :woohoo:

I actually work in Las Colinas :cool1:

I love Texas and plan on staying here for a long long time!

I am a little jealous if you move to Orlando though, I'd love to be closer to Disney!

Very close in age! Which age is which sex?

We have the same considerations with kids activities. My son does football at the flag level right now, but still missing just one week to go to Disney means a lot of practice and two games. My daughter is in softball and plays fall ball and again, missing one week means missing a ton. So the end of Nov works better when our sports schedule calms down!

Our tenth anniversary is April of 2013. We are thinking of doing a long weekend in Vegas, though just today I was thinking it would be nice to maybe do Disney JUST THE TWO OF US

We went to Disney for the first time last year for our 10th anniversary and how I wish we would take a trip by ourselves sooooo because I am turning 30 in May, DH said we could go to Disney for a trip together. Well May is too far away and I love Christmas so we bumped it up to December for an early bday present :) :yay:

We have a boy (9), girl (6) and girl (2). It worked out well with the hand me downs.

Our 10 year anniversary is next year and that is kind of how the whole subject came about. I wanted to do a Disney cruise, just the two of us, and renew our vows since we did a justice of the peace ceremony the first time around. And somehow, that turned into a full scale Disney trip. Our 10th is next November. No vow renewal, but a week in Disney is just as good. :lovestruc:lovestruc

My husband joked that this year's trip was my 30th birthday present because it was my very first trip ever. My birthday was back in January so he said because we went in October it should count for my 30th and 31st... Men. That being said, since I seem to get a lot of green for my birthday, it will all go towards next year's trip, lol. I have quite a bill to pay down.

Our 10 year anniversary is next year too - in October. We had originally planned to go back to Jamaica where we honeymooned and renew our vows, but then I decided I wanted to go to Disney. :confused3 I wish we could afford to do both, but I just can't justify spending that kind of money for a trip without the kids.

Anyone know how much a very simple vow renewal would cost at Disney? I'm sure that wouldn't be too expensive! :rotfl2:

Does anyone have any planning websites just yet that are predicting for Nov 2012 yet?

I don't think so. I don't think they are released until the parks hours for that time are released. If you find one, please let me know. To make my preliminary schedule, I compared a few crowd calendars from the previous years for the same week we will be there. :goodvibes

Oh my GOSH, so many posts!

For staying at POR, you don't have to request Alligator Bayou if you are a family of 5. That's just where they put you because that's where the trundle beds are. However, last year, I really blew it for us. When we checked in, it took forever and my DD had just somehow gotten sick RIGHT before we arrived. Anyway, they gave us our room assignment, and it happened to be in the mansions. I said something like "are you sure? There are 5 of us." etc. She went back to someone, took forever again, and came back with a room assignment in Alligator Bayou that ended up being the furthest away it could possibly be from anything. So a few days later, we were waiting in a long line for the buses back to POR and I happened to hear that the people in front of us were from Buffalo (which is where we are originally from) and we started talking. They said they were staying in the mansions. Of course, there were 5 of them, so I'm thinking (and asking!) how the heck did that happen? They said they got to the room, called the front desk and said there was no trundle bed..... They brought them a roll-away bed that the lady said was more comfortable than her bed at home! UGH! And I screwed us out of that by speaking up about us being 5 (which was clearly known from our reservation). I wished I had just shut up.....I'll of course know better next time, but it will probably never happen again.

We love POR. I'd stay deluxe if we could, but we can't really afford that and we really only sleep in the hotel room. So we first stayed at POR because it was the only moderate that fits 5 (which is so stupid to me; CBR rooms are BIGGER), but the resort is really gorgeous and we love it!

We honeymooned in Disney and it was our intent to spend our 20th anniversary there ALONE, but we have not yet been able to do that. Our kids all still just love it, so how could we go without them? We couldn't! We will someday. We're at 22 years and counting and wouldn't have it any other way....yet!

Oh, I we'd LOVE to move to Orlando. That's where DH and I hope to end up one day. 2 of our kids want to end up living in FL, so it would be nice to be near them. And we'd both like to work at WDW one day. On our trip last November, we met a couple (originally from Buffalo again!) who were working at the Grand Floridian Cafe'. He was a host and he was a waitress. They are spending their retirement working at Disney World together! Heavenly idea to us! We're Disney kooks through and through!:upsidedow

Oh, and one more thing....

We didn't decide to go for Thanksgiving week 2010 until near the end of September 2010 (big difference from planning for over a year for next year, huh?!). We ended up with ALL the ADRs that we wanted (including Le Cellier for lunch on Thanksgiving Day!). And I work 4 long days a week. I just kept checking and checking each day as much as I could (and not from work) and it all worked out. It CAN happen!

Here's hoping we all get EVERY ADR that we want for November 2012!pixiedust:

Good Morning All!!!!! Well alot non-disney stuff has been going on with getting my truck fixed, my basement fixed, I wont bore you with details but I HOPE it all gets fixed soon. I cant wait to leave soon for disney. I havent recieved anything like mickey mail yet...I hope soon!

That is very promising :) I am hoping that the week I go bring lower crowds thus we get our ADRs. Booking six months in advance is normally key and when we do, we get what we want.

I am trying so hard not to get so excited since its sooooo far away!

Where are you eating this trip? When do you leave again? So excited. We went the end of Aug/beginning of Sept and it feels like forever ago!!!!!

Good Morning all!! One more day down before we are all closer to the happiest place on earth! :dance3:

I am too, I'm already dreaming about it. :cloud9:

So how probable at the 180 mark is it to get all your adrs for a thanksgiving week? I don't want my hopes to get up too much! :lmao:

So, I havent mentioned to DH about a DW trip next year (to soon from the last--hard to believe that a month ago today we were enjoying our first full day at disney) and yes, it does seem like forever ago.:lmao:
I'm secretly planning for next year for MVMCP. Like all of you, I'm hoping for FD for November. We had that our last trip and it was nice not to have to worry about forking out that kind of money for a meal ($95 for Akershus breakfast..:scared1:) and DH was able to give a nice tip! DH said that if I want to go again then it's got to be a time when we can still swim in the pool and not freeze when we get out. Last month on the week we went it was unseasonably hot ..high 90's all week! So, for you seasoned WDW travellers, what week in November would be the less crowded with swimming temps?
