Jumping in this morning to say hi~ *sigh* still dont know if and what I need for my truck. Now they are saying something different. This may impact ESP this weekend...grrrr!

So I finally got a hold of DGmom in FL (they used to live here in MD but became snow birds and never flew home lol) She okay'd my schedule! And to make it more interesting for the guys and Dgmom, I saw on another thread that there is golfing offered at Oak Trail with the water park and more option(which we have) so I thought on our water park day since it doesnt open til noon, they could do a round of golf and meet us there! We could sleep in, shop or whatever til waterpark time! DMom wasnt happy til I mentioned shopping! I will post my finalized schedule in a minute. I am excited! THe sad part is that this is for NEXT years trip, our plans for THIS years short trip are still up in my head! I just think its more fun planning for more ppl than just DH and I lol

Maybe if we show up looking all crazy, they will go ahead and give us free dining.

Sounds perfect and not too far-fetched for us showing up looking crazy!

I've been going through the women in my family, making something for them. I'm going to have to cut myself back into the line to make the scarf for this trip. I found a cute crochet Mickey head on Etsy. My mom is super talented at looking at something and coming up with her own pattern. I sent her the link to it and have asked that she show me how to make it.

That's terrific! You might need to sell those!

Well I blame my DH for me being in a Statistics class. He bribed me with Disney to get me back to school to get a degree. I settled on a computer programming degree b/c he said I could possibly work from home in my PJ's and still make a lot of money.

Computer programming....WOW! Good for you. Computer talk may as well be Chinese to me! DH is majoring in business and taking flying lessons. His intent is to be a corporate or possibly commercial pilot.

I know, if the world is going to end at least I'll have fresh WDW memories to carry me through the end. **cue overly sappy violin music

Exactly my thought! Disney would be the best final memory and what a way to go out!:rotfl:

Yes, they grow up WAY too fast. Our oldest DS was born at 32 weeks and only weighed 4 lbs. Now he's 13 and is 5'9", 142 lbs, and wears and 11 or 12 (can't remember which) football cleat.

Awww, what a way to grow!

UGH! Hope it's worked out quick and to your financial advantage.

Sounds great! You guys must love Disney Quest. We always to QS on our first evening there at DTD and then on Saturday morning, before heading out, we do breakfast at Kona. Our little last day tradition. And then we are SO sad because we have to go back to Georgia....:sad2:

ThreeAngels - Honestly the only reason I picked Computer Programming is b/c I asked my DH which of the degree plans the school he went to had, which one I could possibly do at home in my PJ's. The only one he said would work was Computer Programming, so I went for that one.

letthewookiewin - are you doing school from home or plan on working from home or both? Also I said above "DH is majoring in business and taking flying lessons. His intent is to be a corporate or possibly commercial pilot." :rotfl::rotfl2: DH is not in school OR learning to fly. That would be our DS20. DH is a police officer who loves to get to fly with DS when he can... Oh, and I also wanted to say when your first started posting here, but forgot: I'm so sorry about your dog. Was he/she old? I know it was hard either way for you and your family.

We've never been to Disney Quest......

:lmao:Ha ha ha! Not sure I should stare this, but I just wanted to let you all know how weird I really am: I just got all goose-bumpy reading my AllEars newsletter and realizing that tonight is the first MNSSHP of the year, and that the second parade is going on right now! Those lucky ducks!:dance3: Wish my peeps and I were there:rolleyes1

Even the classes that I actually have to physically go into for class have a lot of on line work. Then I do take some classes that are all online. It just depends on the class. I wanted to take Statistics on line, but my DH said it was too hard. It sounds like your DS has really good goals. Hopefully, Statistics isn't giving him the grey hairs that mine is. I'm just glad to get this over, so I won't have to do it again.
Thank you. We're not sure exactly how old he was, but he was at least 16. The week before we had to let him go, he started not eating very well, wouldn't go to the bathroom often, and it was very hard for him to walk. When we could get him outside, he would just get confused. He had a shoulder injury from when he found us, and it really hurt him to walk. In May 1996, we had just come home from my sister's high school graduation and he was just there at my mil house. It was typical for people to dump dogs they didn't want on their street. At that time the vet thought he could be 1 - 2 years. The vet that we took him to, that put him to sleep said that he could be anywhere from 16-20. It was very hard, my DH and I stayed in the room with him until he was gone. The kids didn't take it hard at all. He had been slowly getting worse since December, and they knew it was for the better.

That is so cool!!! That is the one parade I have seen at WDW, and I probably won't do it again. I hate crowds!! I went to one Black Friday a few years ago, and was in the middle of a panic attack when my fil showed up out of no where and calmed me down. I had wanted to make sure that we got a good spot to see the Haunted Horseman and we had a spot right by the rope near Sleepy Hollow. Right before it started, this woman came up with her kids and instructed them to "just squeeze in front of those two boys(mine), between them and the rope". They had to get into a street to do this and luckily, a CM came up and made them move before they could do what their mother wanted them to. I offered to move back so the kids could get between me and my DSs.

Just a quick Good morning. I hope ya'll have a great day! :goodvibes
Good morning!! Hopefully, the morning will pass quickily since I am in Statistics again this morning.

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone its well! My kids are sick so I havent been on...

I'm so sorry your kids are not feeling well. I hope they get well quickly. :goodvibes
I've not been doing so great myself lately. So I made myself a big po of chicken soup today. Ummmmm soooo good. :)

I hope everyone else is doing okay. :goodvibes

:rotfl: No, DS doesn't have any gray hairs yet! I'm pretty sure he enjoys statistics quite a bit. He's doing great in it, anyway.

I know he's frolicking in Doggy Heaven, but I'm still sorry you lost your buddy. And I know he was a lucky dog to find you and your family. :goodvibes

:eek:Ugh! I don't like crowds either (crazy for a Disney fanatic, huh?!) And UGH to that woman at the parade. I can't STAND people like that. And Disney attracts LOTS of them!

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone its well! My kids are sick so I havent been on...

I hope your kids are feeling better and that you and DH don't get it.

I'm glad you enjoyed your yummy soup, but I'm sorry you're not feeling great. Here's to a quick recovery!

I hope everyone else is doing okay. :goodvibes

Alrighty then! Time to head to work. Hope you all have a super day!

Well.... Iv been off work-ok well daycare kids lol but its still work- for 2 days now, they are sick-yay me for time off though. I have lost another couple pounds and am at 29 pounds! So excited! Ppl are starting to be able to tell and it feels amazing! Things are starting to turn around and looking up once again! Truck just needed a water pump (thank goodness) so only about $300 including labor with oil change, new filters all around and other musts. Basement gets finished tomorrow. I have even scored a new(well new to me) couch for down there! I will post pics when I repaint(so excited to make it feel homey not like a 'basement'. And getting excited about Disney!!!!!! Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Well life is full of surprises... DH tells me last night that his brother is planning to go back to St. Croix again this year and we are going too! I've never been, so Yay for that. He used to live there and is excited about going back to see old friends and make new ones. Now the bad news... they are planning a 2012 trip for November. So... it looks like I won't be joining y'all at WDW. Sigh. It's a good thing I haven't already booked a trip. Seeing as DH will be out of vacation time I guess we will have to wait for WDW another time. I'm still gonna travel with you through trip reports though, as Disney will always be in my heart.

It is an interesting class. It's, this is the first class where I have actually had to pay attention and not play WoW while the prof is talking.:lmao:

I knw he's frolicking in Doggy Heaven, but I'm still sorry you lost your buddy. And I know he was a lucky dog to find you and your family. :goodvibes

Thank you. He was a great dog and we were so lucky to have him for as long as we did. The DS keep bugging us to get another, but we can't right now. We had to move in with my inlaws to help with my mil's health issues. While we are here, we can't get another dog. They were ok with Bug, b/c as long as we've had him, he felt like their dog too.

:eek:Ugh! I don't like crowds either (crazy for a Disney fanatic, huh?!) And UGH to that woman at the parade. I can't STAND people like that. And Disney attracts LOTS of them!

It's not just the crowds for me. It's the crowds in a small area that bother me. I worked in day cares for at least 12 years and for most of that time, worked as a field trip director. I got into the habit of always looking for, and knowing where, all the exits are just in case something happens and we had to get out quickily. In large confined crowds like that, I just don't feel like I could get my children out safely and quickly and I think that's part of the reason I don't like them. The way my fil was able to calm me down on Black Friday was to remind me that if anything happened, most people would run for the front doors and not the back. It may seem like a small thing, but it calmed me down.

I'm glad the truck was an easy fix.:dance3::banana: I'm sure the basement will look great when you are done. I've always wanted a basement, but we don't really have them down here.

Well I get to go to open house at the DS's school tonight. (insert smiley banging it's head against a wall) I HATE school open house. Too many people + small hallways = :scared1:. I'm going to try and make sure we are all in and out quickly b/c the X Factor is on again tonight. Luckily the boys are at the same school, so we won't have to go to 2 this year.

YAY for St. Croix! :goodvibes atleast its still early and you havent been paying on it and planning it for months yet. We will miss you!!!

Hi everyone! I haven't posted much lately, but I've been keeping up with you each day. I hope everything is having a great day. This week has been kind of crazy, and I'm ready for the weekend.

I have a question I am hoping some of you can answer. I booked our trip last weekend over the phone. My intent was to reserve our room only, then when (not if - I'm thinking positive) they annouce free dining to call back at that time to add the dining. I was going to purchase our park tickets online at a discount website.

So, when I called, the CM told me it would be better for me to book the dining plan now, then I could just call to take advantage of the free dining when they announced it. I get that.

BUT then he told me that I had to purchase park tickets also. He told me I could call back and change the number of park tickets to 1 day, but I had to get the park tickets through them in order to get "the package." Looking over my email confirmation, I think "the package" is all the extra stuff (coupons, arade tokens, memory book, etc.) that I really don't need or want. I think I would come out better purchasing the park tickets separately. Can I do that?

I hope this wasn't too confusing... I've confused myself, which is an easy task most days.

Thanks y'all.

I thought you had to have at least a 1 day park ticket to get the free dining. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought.
I was looking at my email confirmation and it had a lot of stuff on it that there is no way that we will be using in November. The only one we might use, is the spa voucher, but it doesn't say what the dollar value is. Maybe I could sneak off and use the spa voucher and the DH and DSs can be using the arcade tokens. There is no way that we would use the fishing or water craft vouchers in November. I'm sure the boys can suffer through using the arcade tokens.
