November 2011 car rentals

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it is coming up at over $200. What location should I put in. We will be staying at POR, and we weren't going to get car at airport, but is this where I should be renting from.

I was using MCO and i looked for the entire length of stay.

SalandJeff- the 7015504 code is thru VISA, and the AD2359FDF coupon is from Alamo. No print-out required!!
But I can't believe...as if my $110 rate wasn't good enough...just checked on carrentalsavers.com and a full-size for Nov 10-16th is NOW $73.89 TOTAL!! Has anyone used this site before???

ok---I thought last night my rats were great but now that i am seeing other peoples...they are getting better...I am using my bjs number (or acct #) and the 35.off from mco from nov 1-10 pick up and drop off same times...i dont get it (fullsize if that matters) I WANT TO SAVE MOOOORRRRREEEE!!! hehehehe

yrdlyprincess, if your using alamo and your rental shows for 10 days or more use coupon ad8z21sdb and it will give $40 off a 10 day rental.

OK, I was just playing with some times on Alamo and moved my pickup time from 11:00 to Noon and changed my dropoff time to 7pm from 8pm. My flight times changed, but I was just too lazy to change the times. I'm so glad I did, because I just got a full size for $200.84 total instead of the midsize for $215.13.

This is using the BJs code and $40 coupon for Nov. 25 - Dec. 4.

Thanks everyone for posting your savings, because it made me play around.

I'm feeling so overwhelmed with this. Would someone be willing to help me out. I've only ever dealt with Budget before but it looks like some awesome Alamo rates here. I don't have any Costco or BJ's memberships. Is it possible for me to still get a great deal on a 6 passenger vehicle? My dates are November 10-22 with pu/drop off at 10am.

Thanks for pointing out all of the great savings available through Alamo. I was able to reserve a compact car (it's just the 3 of us) for the week of 11/2-19 for a grand total of $64.53. This means we will not only be able to skip the DE and the other Disney buses, but we can stop at the grocery store and not have to lug a bunch of stuff on the plane with us. Thanks again!

I looked and the best value I could find is an intermediate @ $175 (350 total). I know that wont hold all 6, but 2 of them will be cheaper for the 12 days then a van that are all coming out around 800 beans.

The best deals I'm finding for our trip (and where I found the numbers above for yours )are from carrentalsavers.com. I'd take a van if I can get a rate close to what I want but I can find those cheap prices even if I pick up at the airport and I want to pick up at the car care center. We can fit in the SUV I have a resi for but I'd prefer a van, so I am looking, but I cant find a deal through Alamo on one and I've been looking.

Right now I have a mini van for $583 including taxes/fees through budget. With pu/drop off at the airport. Using codes BCD X474200 and MUWZ023

Just got a jaw-dropping rate at Alamo for Nov 4-11. $68.22 TOTAL for a Standard - which is really full-size since they have no standard aisle at MCO!!
I love Emerald Aisle, but I can't pass this up (Emerald Aisle was $258)
Codes used were ID 430710 (Walmart customer) and coupon ADF2359FDF

I'm looking for Nov 1 - 8 and the best I'm getting (with all the codes and playing with pickup, dropoff times) is $134 inclusive with Alamo for a compact.

What are you using for Corp. ID and coupons? If you're the 2-9 then my 1-8 should be close, right?

We're landing at 11am on the 1st and leaving at 1:30 pm on the 8th, so I've been using 11:30 for a pickup time and 11:00 for the return time.

Any tips would be appreciated.

That's the best I am getting for those dates as well....keep checking - it fluctuates from day to day, it seems.

Very happy with my fullsize Alamo rental 11/12 7 pm pick up -drop off 11/20 at 10 am. $101.43. Insider rate with the above $35 coupon. I think it is as low as it will go.

me too! the best I can get with alamo codes and coupons is $206 for a full size for nov 2nd-11th. maybe its our dates?? the better rates seem to be for people traveling mid-month. in the mean time, we keep checking!!:confused3

Has anyone gotten good rates on one-ways? I need two one-way rentals. We would like to pick up at Disney, drop off at Port Canaveral. Then pick up again at PC and drop off at MCO.

I gave up waiting for Nationals rates to go down and thought I would try Alamo. I went from $250 (National) to Alamo $133 I tried again the next day with other codes from this thread and it became $119, last night I tried the AARP membership # we are members and Alamo coupon AD2359FDF and it came down to $70 for a full size it would be $60 for a midsize which is what we had at National. The AARP code includes an additional driver and it allowed me to go to save time to put in DHs driver license info and now tells me I can skip the counter and check-in on the Kiosk and head to the garage to pick my car! Thanks for all great info I now have more money in my budget to spend at Disney! :cool1: Linda

OK, I now have a weekly rental (6 days) for ... wait for it.... $61.57 compact, I can hardly believe it myself. Just a few weeks ago rates were $300... pinch me.

BTW, I used a coupon code posted here to get this low rate, but my reservation says it is the American Airlines Valley discount. I'm not really sure what that is? ID: 7015392 rate/prod code: AW7T coupon:AD2359FDF I did a google search and someone on another board said it was an ecoupon. The rate seems too good to be true so now I am nervous that I will need to present the coupon which I don't have. I also used the Visa code. Can anyone help. Maybe I should use another coupon just to be sure???
