I was reading everyone's posts and decided to google Alamo to try them. One click lead to another and I found that Enterprise is now cheaper than the Budget rental I had.

I got a compact for 11/3-11/8 for $122.52! That's a savings of about $60! That price does include a 10% Entertainment Book Coupon. The price before was $132.74 I think and that was with no codes, just entered the info on the website.

Hope this helps others. I was seriously considering dropping the rental car at $180. Now I can do the happy dance!!

Edited to add: I also just searched National using the Entertainment Book coupon ($20 off any) and can get a midsize SUV for $114.21! The smaller cars are more. If you have the Entertainment Book, you might want to check out the coupons.

I just booked a full size november 11th-20th for $142.00!!!! I had it booked for $333.00 before! I used the double upgrade coupon code on carrentalsavers.com that works out to $15 a day!

Just wanted to update again: Alamo had the best deal with the coupon listed above, even beating the Entertainment Book. I ended up with a total with taxes of $81.53 for a compact for 11/3-11/8. That is the cheapest it has been in the past 4 years!

Thanks for posting. I just got a full size for $113, down from $135 with Costco and the $300+ I was finding a few weeks ago.

What coupon codes are these - what will I need to show when renting?

Touching base here. I have deleted several posts. It is against board guidelines to solicit any type of business here, unless it has been approved by board ownership. If I get word from the board owner that this poster has been approved to solicit here, I will then reinstate the posts. But, until I get that word, they will remain deleted.
It is fine to discuss a company, unless that company has been banned. It is NOT okay for a company to come here and hand out advice as to how best to do things...especially when it comes to asking for business, or even thanking people for business.

We haven't needed a stroller for a long time but I bet it would cost more to rent for the same duration.

I've found the cheapest rate using the Costco ID and the $35 coupon I mentioned on the previous page

Thanks so much to everyone on this thread! I have saved a total of $218 off my original reservation. I am now at a full size for nine days November 11-20th for $115.00! That is AMAZING! It works out to about $12 a day! So excited! I think I will take my $200 and buy a ticket to discovery cove, which will be easy to get to since I will have a rental car!

Just used 7015504 - ad2359fdf to rent a full size from 11/12 - 11/20, and the TOTAL is $94.82.

That's less than HALF the cost of the original reservation I made a LONG time ago. I can't believe this!!!

We have a mid-sized car from Alamo from Nov. 25 - Dec 4 and are paying $215.13 total using the ID code 7014696 and coupon AD8Z21SDB for $40 off from BJs. I booked this way back in March and am so glad I did with the way prices are now.

I have the above rate through BJs. Is anyone getting better prices for Nov. 25-Dec 4? I am so jealous of the prices you guys are getting! I'm hoping mine will drop too, but I'm guessing it won't because it's right after Thanksgiving.

Vans are in high demand, and hard to get a good rate. if you are going with two adults your cheapest option would be to get two cars. I am seeing an economy car for $50 for that week. You could rent two of those for about a hundred bucks, if you are willing to split up your family. The full size is $88 for the week, so you would have all kinds of room for about $180 for the week. OR you could rent an economy and a full size if that would work for you.

My family has done this before on vacation, it is actually kind of nice to have two cars. I am getting these rate at carrentalsavers.com and using the double upgrade coupon, but you can search this thread and get the same rates using various codes.

That code gives me about another $5 reduction in the rate. But unfortunately I dropped my Costco membership and I'm too chicken to try to use it

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it is coming up at over $200. What location should I put in. We will be staying at POR, and we weren't going to get car at airport, but is this where I should be renting from.
