Hi,

Just checking out the codes this Nov. to help me plan for next Nov.

It seems those going the first 1/2 of Nov. had a harder time getting the code applied and had to move resorts than those in the later 1/2 of Nov.

Also, it seems those with POP, POFQ and the deluxe hotel ressies had to switch.

Are these fair assumptions? Any insight would be welcomed.

I think I will book for the later half of the month (not TG week/weekend) and try POFQ knowing that I may have to move to POR.

POP seems to be hit and miss - it seemed as if there weren't many openings at POP but as more people upgraded the easier it was to apply the code to stays at POP.

My sister got a pin last week, but when I called this morning with it (we are going together in November with her kids), it ended up for our date (11/6 WL, 11/7-11 AKV) the rate that I got at WL with the AP discount last week is better than her pin rate.


Also for some reason, the pin came to my house but with her name instead of her house. I think that the next time that she calls CRO, she is going to have to update all of her information so that they have the right address and phone number.

We have the CR booked with the MK view for 11/29-12/6. The AP rate came out to $2.00 more than what I paid. Go figure. I am sticking with my AAA rate. I could downgrade and get a better price, but do not want to do that. Oh well!

I called back, since some said that they were saving about $6a night over AAA at Pop. This week now I was able to save $42 and change over my AAA rate with the AP code. Its $42 more to spend on something else in Florida so I took it.

So I made more changes to this thing!

I read others did a 1 day ticket with the new code, for me with the 1 day ticket for 2 adults and 1 child at Pop for the 10-17th was $606.11. The Ap rate for the week was $627.75. So darn, I am going to have to come back some day and use my 1 day ticket! I love funny disney math!

The AP rate was costing me $89.68 w/ tax, the new general code is costing me $54.16 (once I take the cost of the 1 day tickets off) for Pop a night. I am very happy with the $54+ a night.

So 7 nights with the ap was $627.72, the new general code is $606.11 for 7 nights and 3 -1 day park tickets.

We have our trip planned for Nov 2-10. Our original ressie was at POP. When the code came out I contacted my AAA TA to find out what she can do. I could have stayed at POP and saved $400 if I would have given up my preferred view for a standard. INSTEAD what we did is upgrade to CBR for only $40 more!! FYI, we could have also chosen POR or POFQ for the $40 difference. So I didn't have any problem with the code being applied to my POP ressie and I did NOT have to switch. That was just our personal chioce to do so. Hope that helps! I do suppose it all depends on when certain people called too. 5 minutes before I cancelled my POP ressie there may have been no availability with the code. You call back 5 minutes after I cancelled, and your in... So when the time comes, if you don't get what you want the first time call back...again and again.. Good luck!
