We are house broken, and even know which fork to use for dessert. :cake: I'm just concerned that we won't be able to get anything reasonable on the ship.

Paul and Lisa Goofyhouk

Oh, I get it now, you are some of those fancy folks. Quit your braggin' about knowing which fork to use. Are you trying to make the rest of us feel bad? :rotfl2: We have a reservation for Tuesday night at Palo. Couldn't get a brunch or tea one. If you go right to the reservation place when you board, I don't think you will have problems getting a good night and time for dinner.

Lampy-Have fun with the "monster in laws".The family was here talking about Thanksgiving, and they asked me yesterday what are you bringing.I was like I am not bringing anything as I won't be here!I told them I will be on the cruise. It felt good saying that too!I am so bad!

Laura.... not to worry, we're not as bad as we sound... we're not loud. I'd say sprited and cheerful.

Actually, really don't worry... it's not like that at all. I'm a serious lightweight... it doesn't take much so I gotta be careful. DW loves to have a good time but it's a rare occasion when she drinks.

Lamps is halarious when you can find him... even when he's sober... I don't think I ever saw that? Willie... you wouldn't know he'd ever been drinkin' until he's layin' on the floor... stable as a rock. John... I think Julia was the one last year with the problem on COZ?

Andrew, you sound like a riot!! You've gotta come on the Stingray city excursion.

Oh no, John was "SMACKED"......I still have the picture of him "ditching" us at the pirate party walking around the buffett......don't remember seeing Julia?

I am hereby announcing the creation of the TCD book club. For your reading pleasure, I have available for loan at to charge copies of the following books:

A Salty Piece of Land by Jimmy Buffett- Hey it is a novel written by Jimmy Buffett, how could this not be perfect on a cruise? This is a book about a man who sails around the Carribbean looking for a lens for a lighthouse that he is restoring. As you might expect, lots of interesting characters and situations. It is pretty good, like living in a Buffett song.

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown- If you read the Davinci Code, you know how Dan Brown writes. This is an earlier novel of his. It is good. Lots of twists and turns (of course I figured out the ending, but you will not be able to). The type of book you do not want to put down. Perfect for cruise reading.

These are from my private collection. I will be happy to throw them in my suitcase, and bring them along for anyone who would like to read them. Let me know! If these get taken, I will make some more selections. We are a cultured group, aren't we? :snooty:

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

All you Northern folks will love this. Guess what I have to do today? Mow the lawn! It is still so warm here, that the grass is still growing! DW says it can't wait until we get back from the cruise. Yes Dear! Don't laugh-I would rather mow the lawn than shovel the snow any day!

Andrew-We had read in the navigator about the legs contest!Congrats on winning!

Maria

Maria- I'll let you in on a little secret. This is what you call a spoiler, so don't read any further if you want a surprise. Everyone who enters the contest gets a medal. There are categories in which awards are given, not all of them are compliments. (I actually one the award for Goofy legs, some good looking hammerhead got the award for Prince Charming legs, etc. At least I didn't get the medal for Winnie the Pooh legs, but I understand it was close) (DW was one of the judges). But hey, hardware is hardware.

HEY DOOGIE
What are you saying???? what problem??? I blame it on Lampy....I got sick that night and couldn't join with my family during pirate party. pirate: :confused3

EXTRA! EXTRA! HEAR THIS!!! Watch out for a man who constantly hands you a drink...that's a sign that he wants to see who can drink the most. Don't take anything from him...he's a FAST talker!!! DAngerous man with a disquise of Bon Jovi...who ever heard of him??!! That $2,000 bill that he submitted....eh...he didn't pay for that...he gave it to one of his "SO CALLED Drinking buddies" yeah....he would slide that bill across the table while he's telling jokes to keep you in focused and "BAM"! He disappears like "CASPER THE GHOST" and guess what...somebody is left with the BILL!!!! :confused3

I'm telling you all Dis'ers who don't know LAMPY, LAMPARSKI, LAMPS...I'm telling you...watch your back! :smooth: Don't you think that's why Lampy does not like to tell anyone where he's at, what Stateroom #, etc. He's a slick guy!!!! AH, Lampy...I'm just kidding with ya...I'm just warming up our people who have not met you yet....they will not have a problem with you at all....just make sure you don't give me the BILL!

Julia ::MinnieMo

:rotfl2: @ Julia......if I didn't "casper out" imagine what my bill would have been? Keep it up Julia and I'll make YOU my mission to keep drunk :rotfl2:

Here's something funny that happened today. One of my 10 year old DD's comes home from school today and tells us that the kids were talking about what they were going to do on their Thanksgiving break. So, a girl in her class says she is going on the Disney Cruise, and my daughter interrogated her to make sure she was not mistaken (TCD trains the TCD kids well), and it turns out that this kid is going to be on our cruise. This is a "new girl," this year, and we don't know the parents. The kids go to a private school run by the Baptist Church, and they are a little uptight around there- especially with the consumption of alcohol (and let's not mention dancing). Well, what in the heck are these people going to think about my family wearing matching t-shirts and being associated with you wild folks? :scared1:

Maybe we will just leave our shirts at home, and keep to ourselves. Wouldn't want to tarnish our spotless reputations. Nah!   :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Anyway, how ironic is that? What kind of people would go on a Disney Cruise, and not have met up with us here on these boards?

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

Give me their statroom number....I'll set them straight! :rotfl2: I remember how "nice" Julia and John use to be!!! :rotfl2:

Andrew-How is the Jimmy Buffet book?DH and I enjoyed this one song on our December cruise by him.It is called Christmas Island. We heard it for the first time at CC,and we finally got it a month ago.We looked everywhere for the cd,but we had to order it from amazon which took them over a month to get it to us as it was waitlisted. This cd is great. Thanks for the spoiler on the legs<G>! Hardware is hardware!:rotfl:

I dont know why they blocked that web address but it is a ************ dot com
Thats Tony and Barbs site.
Gosh - when we went on our first cruise - Grand Princess - we couldn't find any information other than the official website. It's a beatiful ship but we didn't enjoy ourselves half as much as we do on Disney. :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

This site is sponcered by dreams unlimited....travel agancy. Barb is a competitor....

I have a request of someone who will be going to WDW parks (or maybe World of Disney at DD) before the cruise. I saw a Goofy pirate hat (pirate bandanna with Goofy ears and a earring pirate: ) at Pirates of the Carribean store last Thanksgiving. Of course I didn't get it - when would I ever wear it? :rolleyes2 Anyway, if someone is planning to go to Magic Kingdom or World of Disney, could you please pick one up for me (don't worry - I'll pay you back). In order to not end up with 3 of them, please PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number so you can call to make sure someone else hasn't already gotten it for me.

Thanks.

Since I feel like you are all family now, I don't have a problem sponging off of you. :rolleyes1 We are already crashing brunch with KennyK. Does anyone have a reservation for Palo dinner (especially Friday night) or afternoon tea that they would like to add two more people to? :grouphug: We are house broken, and even know which fork to use for dessert. :cake: I'm just concerned that we won't be able to get anything reasonable on the ship.

PM us if you are willing.

Thanks.

Paul and Lisa Goofyhouk

Where is Kenny?

I was just looking at the Radisson web cam - I finally got it to pan around. All I could see was the Carnival ship - no sign of the Magic. It was blowing really hard - the palm trees were whipping around and the camera was bouncing all over.

7 days from NOW I'll have a big beer and some JUMBO shrimp..........

Maria

Maria- the JB book is good-perfect cruise reading. I never sat in one of those lounge chairs on Deck 4- I hear they are nice and comfy. Perfect for reading. I'll bring the book for you if you want. Get yourself a margarita, and you are good to go.

Go Gators!

Still having trouble getting the little icons - Obviously drag and drop doen't work here.

Does any one else do any needlework? I take it wherever I go. Then if we have to wait I have something to do.

Mary

I'd still like to figure out how to add the little smiley faces.

Hi Mary -

Yes, I do cross stitch. I like to do it on long drives -- makes the time go faster. I'm thinking, though, that the only time I'd have to do it on this trip would be on the plane. I'm thinking that I'll be busy the rest of the time!

I will bring reading material, but sometimes when I cruise I like to be in the "present", rather than in a book, kwim? When I read, I'm no longer on a cruise, I'm wherever the book takes me. I know that sounds kinda strange!

Sometimes on a cruise, I like to just lounge and people watch! But never been on a 7-day before, so maybe there will be a lot more down time.

Sherri and Kris--

Yeah on the Diet Pepsi! :cheer2:

Another thing I look forward to is the first dinner on Saturday--and knowing that we have a whole week ahead!

I have GOT to get packing this weekend. I've promised myself none of the usual chaos! :rotfl2:

One time I was so bad, I even packed wet clothes because we didn't have time to throw them in the dryer...

Laura

Laura --- :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hear you on the wet clothes thing. I've been harping at the kids == we are PACKING on MONDAY! My kids are typically doing laundry at midnight the night before and packing the morning of. It makes me absolutely crazy.

I have a dress that I hope still fits -- I've been pretty good at keeping the weight off, but halloween has taken its toll. Let's just hope I can wear the dress at the beginning rather than at the end of the cruise.

Kris

Seven days from right now, I, too will be working on a plate of jumbo shrimp.

Man, I hope the weather that we are having here in central Florida sticks around. It is perfect today! About 80, sunny, low humidity. I am so lucky to live in paradise! :sunny:
