5 O'Clock Somewhere -

DW Lisa hasn't been able to book the DCL excursions in Costa Maya either. She tried last night and again this morning. Maybe they got the excursions listed, but haven't gotten the reservation link working yet? If we get time we'll call DCL and ask what's up.

Sounds like a good idea to book with DCL then cancel if the other comes through. So you're going to do the Chaccoben tour? I think we put the other one to the wish list, but will change to the shorter tour. We don't be wanting to miss the AAARRRful pirate: time on the ship.

Yes, there are 4 of us. Me, DW, DS (15) and DD (14).

How far is it for you from Atlanta?

Hi everyone!! We just got our internet connection back today!! I have felt so lost!!

Welcome Aboard to all of the new members of this great Dis group!!

Thank you Willie, Maria, John/Julia, Andrew and the rest of you for all of your positive thoughts and kind offers during this past week--we appreciate all of you very much!!

We were very fortunate--we only lost our power for a few days--others still do not have power. We lost our water as well--but luckily that was only for a day. We got our phones back yesterday and computer today. The only thing we still don't have is television, but that should be repaired soon. Unfortunately, I missed the world series and as a Chicagoan, it would have been wonderful to see a Chicago team win the series!! Sorry Willie!!

Chuck lost the front windshield of his car thanks to a tree landing on it and our mailbox was taken by Wilma. The entire area looks like a war zone--trees down, fences down, traffic lights and signs down. Driving is scary!!

Andrew--we received the t shirts yesterday--they turned out great!! Thanks!!

Today we got our docs!! We are very excited about that! :Pinkbounc

I feel so bad for the people in Mexico--Wilma stayed over them for soooo long!!

We are definitely ready to enjoy this cruise!! This has been the worst hurrican season that I can remember!!

Take care,

Lisa

does anyone know for the Tequila Beach Club if they book as many people that want to or do they fill up?

Molli,

I emailed them yesterday with the same question and haven't heard back. I went ahead and booked 4 of us anyway on their web site. Willie and John (5Js) have done the same. There's some good reviews on the cruise critic boards.

68 degrees here today!! Got my X-mas lights hung. I HATE heights, so DW does the two peaks we have  . We climbed a 14,265' peak this summer. There were some pretty steep drops/ledges, that freaked her out and she stopped 1 1/2 hours into the climb and waited 4 hours while we summited. She said, "I don't know how and the @$#% you can NOT hang Christmas lights and yet THIS doesn't bother you?" I can't figure it out either... I tried again today... just don't like being high on that ladder.

Doug

Welcome back Lisa!We are so glad to hear you all are okay. Our offer still stands anything you need let us know.It is great to hear you have our internet back as well as power.Prayers that all goes back to normal before cruise!I hope and pray that was it for the hurricanes this year! That is great that you all got your docs!

I just called DCL to make sure everything was settled.I asked if we were connected with someone else for dinner, and CM response was many others<G>!Good! Here are the movies that will be playing while on our cruise-

Chicken Little (Woo Hoo)
Herbie
The Greatest Game Ever Played
Sky High
Valiant
Winnie the Pooh
Shop Girl
Pirates of the Caribbean
Finding Nemo
Ice Princess
The Incredibles
Ladder 49
National Treasure

I think I got all of them.I want to go see Chicken Little as well as Herbie.I learned one lesson from the theatre make sure you bring jacket.CM was like don't sit in back room either as it suit for short people. The CM told me to take my blanket from room.I told her I may just do that<G>!

I saw the Magic leave port.Three more weeks!YES!

Maria

About 1hr. south to the airport! :rotfl2: Then 1-1/2 hrs. in the air. We're flying down Thurs. nite, hooking up w/ our best friends, doing Sea World on Friday, then all zipping over to the port as early as they'll let us in on Sat. :cheer2:
Speaking of which...anybody know any more about these new boarding procedures mentioned before? Does it still pertain to Castaway Club members?

Oh, I did go ahead & call DCL...they said it may be a little before we can book Costa Maya excursions. The note on her screen said "Stay Tuned". So we will.

How long will it take you from AL??

You can leave your kids on the boat when in the different ports. We did stingray city in Cayman and the cozumel beach break last time we cruised. They give you pagers at the clubs, but not sure if they work to far off the boat. :confused3
Bill

Thanks Bill. We are trying to find a mask, snorkel, etc for DD but nobody in CO has anything related to summer in stock right now. I've been searching online half the day with no luck either. If we can't find them and get her in the water to practice before the trip we'll have to decide if we feel comfortable leaving her onboard while we play! :tilt:

Yogamomme: Look up www.dickssportinggoods.com

On left side click snorkeling/SCUBA, then click on separates. There are several different ones. My husband bought one last year, and he said it works great.

Good luck!

Oops...on the first page of Dick's sporting goods...scroll down to boating/watersports...

Thanks Julia! I had checked them already but went back again and I somehow had missed finding one set they did have in her size. My son has the same set and it's pretty nice. Hopefully the mask fits and she can get the hang of breathing through her mouth!

5 O'Clock Somewhere! -

I think it takes us about 9 hours to get to the World - not including the time change (depends on how many stops). However, I can never really remember :confused3 - while we're on the way it is too long, but once we get there it doesn't matter anymore. :Pinkbounc Anyway, it should take about an hour more I figure.

Our docs mentioned they are using a staggered supper start time. Each sitting has 3 start times. Anyone heard any feedback on this?

This is for Maria and Charlie: It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

Also a belated congrats to you White Sox fans. Don't feel bad about your 'stros Willie, my hometown team is the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Thank goodness for the Bucs and the Lightning!

Andrew (tri-circle-d)

OK I just caught up from last night but the only thing I remember reading is CHRISTMAS LIGHTS :scared1:

Sherri

Andrew-Yes,it is great to be a Florida Gator. What a game!We are so glad they won.I didn't watch the end as I was doing some housework. All I heard was yes! Then,I knew it was over, and they had won.Charlie watched it.We are back on track. This town is happy tonight!

Sherri-Chrsitmas lights on the Disney Magic.I love the Christmas atmosphere back in December.I assume the boat will be all decked up with holiday decorations when we board. Please tell me so!

Maria

One B-day down, Ron has his piano tuning kit - thanks Julia :sunny: he is forever on end busy now :rotfl2:

Jacob's b-day party tomorrow even though is b-day is Wednesday ... that'll be two... two more and anniversary to go...

Can't even begin to fathom Christmas!!!! And just as a side question that has perplexed me... in considering a Christmas cruise what do you do when you still have believers?

Sherri

Christmas Decorations started i beleive on Monday then gradually increased each night on the BOAT
CC was decorated the second stop there.
I think...?
Any other Turkey 04's remember?

Stay at home. :rotfl2:

No, seriously, I've pondered that one too, but always end up talking myself out of it. Or..celebrate Christmas the week before and tell the kids 'Santa came to our house early because he knew we'd be on vacation. :hyper:

Great!I was hopiing we were going to see the Christmas decorations!

DOOGIERUNNER-New boarding procedures?Lets hope they are good ones.
