November 19, 2005 Thanksgiving Magic Cruise

Willie and all- I just got off the phone with DCL. The Tri-circle-D party is now linked with your reservation. The agent said there are now 12 reservations linked together. I asked her if she could tell me what rotation we would have, and she said "late seating." She seemed to not know much about dining on DCL. I guess our rotation will be a surprise. I don't really have a preference either. We will end up eating at all of the restaurants eventually.

I'm looking forward to hearing that whoosing/sucking/vacum sound from the head. For those of you who've never cruised... one flush and you'll know what I'm talking about. Close the lid and run out of the cabin or you might be sucked in... at least that's what I told DD.

DH was in the navy for 20 years, he should feel right at home with that sound!!!! Pam

I just signed up for the Beach party (Tequila)...you guys are right!! It's confusing to sign up but I figured it out....I was just about to call Willie and say 'HELP"!! But I just saved a phone call...not that I don't want to talk to you Willie, I'm trying to save $$ for the trip!

The funny thing is...it doesn't have a place to put the exact date. hmmm...

I just checked out the site. It is very confusing..... If I am correct, the $35 horseback riding includes the beach party, so basically the riding was $10 extra? So I did 4 feasts, 1 child, and 2 hb riding, and it said 145. But when I calcualted it, 2x35, 1x 25, 4x10, 1 child $20, it came to 155. what am I doing wrong? (we have 4 people total, 2 doing hb..) also, what about date?


I just realized I have posted three times this morning.... but I am not working today, so trying to tie up final plans!!! Pam

Hi everyone!! I'm happy that the dinner links are being confirmed!! It will be a lot of fun at dinnertime!! We are still considering the beach party at Costa Maya--I am waiting to here from my college roomie who will be on the cruise as well.

Tonight we were supposed to go to see Bruce Springsteen--floor seats!! Chuck's favorite performer in the entire world is "Bruce". Well....as you can imagine...thanks once again to Wilma...there is no power at the venue. As a result, the concert is being postponed. The new date....November 19th!! On one hand Chuck is upset that he will not be seeing the Boss--especially after getting such great seats...on the other hand...we will be w/ ya'all on the Disney Cruise!! He is very happy about the cruise so it will be ok after all!!

John: expect us at the beach in costa maya. we will officially confirm eventually, but there is no way we are spending the day on the boat and the options are limited. Hope you've practiced that volleyball for the hardcore games...LOL

Willie and Doogie: enough about size and all those texas comments. as you both know when it comes to height, neither of you are close to me. Talk about cramped showers etc, and don't forget that last year since we registered so late, we were in a cat 11 w/out the split bath. But we survived.

Did anyone get door magnets for the Turkey Day Gang this year? I thought about it, but Wilma has made things rather difficult for anything other than essential day-to-day stuff.

See you all in a couple weeks and hopefully they will use the old boarding procedure since we will be there at 10.

I will be with my 7 year old son who plans to spend most of his time in children's activities so I hope to meet some other "grown ups" to enjoy some of my time with. My son Cobi is 8 (almost 9) but I'm sure the boys are all into similar things. It will be lots of fun!!!!! We have late seating for dinner also but I'm thinking the kids might have more fun hanging with their frineds than sitting at dinner forever.

Also, Willie, the KennyK party is also linked for dinner. When the CM added us she said "OH MY, THAT IS A VERY LARGE GROUP", she started counting family units and stopped at 12 and said there were many more. This was at around noon time.

IT should surely be a blast.

It is really getting close and I have another trip to Florida between now and then. leave next Wednesday and return on Saturday to turn around and repack for a early Thursday departure.

WE'll be staying at the Disney Wilderness Villas for Thursday and Friday and driving out to the port on early Saturday for 10am port opening.

I drop my DW off and then return car to Budget and take their shuttle back to the port.

By the time I get back, she has aready checked in and I just have to go up to the counter and get my KTTW Card.

I know some of you are staying at Disney for either Thursday or Friday. And it has been suggested that we meet at Beaches and Cream for a mini meet.

Anybody have a suggested time.

Chuck-Are you talking about the Turkey Day Gang "TAG"? If you are, we are just getting it ready to make one...hehehe....this is going to be great!!!

TO ALL who have not met me yet....since it's getting close to the cruise I must remind you that I'm HARD OF HEARING!!!! Oh it isn't that bad...I have two great digital sound devices that sometimes it gives me the headaches. But that's why I like communicating on this thread. I can read...so if I don't respond to you, I'm not ignoring you...just have to speak up a bit...not too loud and oh, I do read lips so if I look at you all funny, don't worry, I'm not trying to check you over and just falling in for your lips. I'll give a little story I was born with a hearing loss and still am...but it's fine....My DH hates it when I don't put those devices on as soon as I get up in the morning, because I can't hear well.....well, I'm sorry, I like quiteness

Say, I don't expect anybody to remember that I have a hearing issue, I might have to do some little sign language to give you a HINT!!

But other than that, I look very normal and most people say they haven't notice it... hmmm??

Looking forward to meeting everyone in two weeks...YES!!!

Well, DW Lisa made it back to work today after missing the last 2 days due to strep throat. One benefit is it's a great way to lose 10 lbs - she hasn't hardly eaten anything for almost 4 days.

The secretary at the school said I needed to make it up to her by taking her out for a lobster dinner. No problem - I told her I'll take her out for 21 meals (not including the extra buffets and the room service mickey ears) of lobster, steak, prime rib, etc, to make it up!!!!

DD was also home for 3 days with a really bad cold. I just hope DS and I either get sick real soon, or not at all.

Hard to believe we leave Montgomery 2 weeks from tomorrow for the drive to FL. Where is the time going??? I haven't had time to make my door signs.

For those who don't know the story... last year I stuffed my swimsuit with two bags of chips at Castaway Cay and snorkeled out with my fam and Willie's fam and fed the fish. I don't think that was a very good idea. We went from no fish to 100's... a bit overwhelming! Willie's been makin' fun-o-me ever since .

Chuck, I know what you mean about the cabin size... well really I don't since I'm only 5' 8". Our neighboor is near 7', they went on one cruise, he was miserable, he says never again.

Kenny-Friday night at 9PM at Beach Club is good for us since we are leaving Gainesville at 5:30ish in the middle of traffic hour.It is going to take us a little bit to get there.I will email you my cell phone number next week.DH and I are looking forward to some good ice cream.I may have to try the one you mentioned!

Julia-I do sign language with my dckids.You will have to show me some new signs.We just started this past summer.My toddlers sign now so well.I am so proud of them.I am teaching them,and teaching myself too.We are so looking forward to meeting you and everyone on here!
