Bama beat GA. We are in mourning today for our Gators. We pretty much blew it yesterday. UGH.

I actually got to see the end of our game. I was so upset when GA came back at the half and started playing well. I was worried there for a bit. I did see you guys lost. I was really surprised how close that game was. It must have been a nailbiter.

Ugh....
The last week I've been really sick. So sick I had to cancel all my classes for the week. So sick I had to duck out half-way through the final game at Yankee Stadium (where I in large part grew up..... it was a big deal in my life!). So sick I had to go to the doctor 4 times. And for my pains, what I get is medication that I'm going to be taking for a long time.... maybe the rest of my life.
Ugh.
But today, Sunday, we're under 60 days to go. I need Disney World more than ever.....

Oh wow! hugs! Like Jo, I was wondering if it was from the tick also. Get better!

Hello all!

I'm a newbie & glad to say we'll be at Disney 11/15 - 11/21!! This is our very first family trip to DW and we are through the moon excited! DD (9) can hardly contain herself as she's never been before.

We are staying at SOG. I'm still trying to plan everything because we had no idea the planning involved in going to DW We REALLY thought you just winged it -- show up and have fun

But thanks to all of you Disers, I'm learning fast!

Agreed. My girlfriend told me a story the other day about how her mother remarked at how relaxed and happy I was when we returned from last year's trip. I've been telling people that I need to be prescribed Disney World.....

Thanks Jo! I'm doing my best to recover. my girlfriend and I drove and walked along the Mohawk today, and tomorrow I'm going to go to campus to swim or possibly take a bike ride. On top of prepping class for Tuesday, of course. But it shouldn't be too bad.... I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work, because it does have the effect of making me feel normal! It's very strange right now, though, as I'm in that process of re-learning what my body signals are. For instance, this morning I was hungry, but the empty stomach felt a lot like a gastric concern. And as I didn't get enough sleep last night, I've been tired today, which at times has masqueraded as dizziness and sick fatigue. It's remarkable how being very sick can mess with so many of your basic senses.

As to the tick, no, can you believe it, it's something else! I thought Lyme when I began presenting symptoms, but in fact it appears not to be that. I won't go into the specifics of what is wrong with me... it's enough to say that it's serious but not life-threatening and with medication and other lifestyle adjustments it should be under control in a few weeks. What a month, huh?

I'm also alittle worried because it is the first time DDog Duke is going to be left alone for more than a quick run to Lowes in the new house. Oh well atleast once i get back to work i can start getting excited for my next week off which is Disney!!!! 34 days to go!

Aw, I bet you are dreading it. Hopefully the day will go by quickly.
On a similar note, my 7 year old Ds got up crying saying he didn't want to go to school because he hated having to go. Poor thing did this when he started Kindergarten too. I'm sure its partly because he is overtired from the past couple weeks, but hopefully this week will slow down and he can get some rest this week.
