Yikes, OctoNoveCember'ers!!!!

Looks like I have some updating that needs to be done!

Our May trip was fantastic- probably the best we ever had.

The weather was HOT but a welcome change after this winter.

I will be updating shortly-
welcome to all the new travelers!:moped:

I don't think my ticker works right, I'm leaving on the 3rd of November does that seem right or am I nuts?

Sandy, Where are you staying in November? Don't worry I won't stalk you or anything, just curious if you stayed or are planning to stay at CBR.

We are going in November also, Thanksgiving week. Our dates are Nov 22-29 at the Wilderness Lodge. We are taking my Mother with us this time, she hasn't been in about 15 years and never on vacation with us. Gosh y'all plan early. I started the beginning of January and thought that was early. I haven't been for three years though and am going through withdrawls.

Thank you Sandy, I'm so excited to share our planning with all of you. Seems like a great bunch!

My family is arriving on the 1st and leaving the 8th. So we will be there the same time as you :) We are staying at POR.

Yea! Glad to have you back Jo. I am so glad your trip went so great. I can't wait to hear about it and see pictures.

Mince says 4 months and 25 days and I am arriving on the 1st. I actually think mine is off by a couple days though and if it is, then yours should be right.

I've never stayed at CBR. As a matter of fact this is only my second time staying onsite. The other time it was at All Star Sport. We are only staying at POR because we are now a family of five.

Hello everybody, I'm new here. We just booked our November 3rd trip to WDW! YAY! We'll be staying at the CBR. Never stayed here but I hope to hear good things about it. I hear they're working on the pool area, hopefully their putting in a great slide. That's one the things I Will miss about CSR, the pool was great, oh and the pepper market, YUM. How is the food over in CBR? Anyone know?

Hi, we've stayed at the CBR 3 times. I really like it. We just wanted to try something new this time, so we're goingt to AKL. The pool was a lot of fun at CBR. My kids had a ball. I think the food is pretty good. We only ever had breakfast and lunch there. Did you request a certain building. I always tried to get the ones near the food court/main pool. They were very convenient. Have a great trip!

Just back from New York, and our ADR plans have now been made!
It was a little tricky. Along with my girlfriend and I, my parents and my brother will be down there, and we'll be rendevousing for dinner pretty much every night. My brother's girlfriend may also be with us, depending on a lot of things. Also, after Thanksgiving, which we'll be spending with my sister in Palm Bay, my niece is coming back with us to Disney. Then my sister and her husband and my nephew are checking into Pop for the weekend..... and want to eat with us.... and hang out with us in part..... and aren't exactly easy people to plan with...... yeah.....
But I think we have a plan. Not everything I'd like, but certainly close enough, and there's not much to complain about in any case.
Here goes....
Tuesday we won't arrive in time for dinner, so we're hoping to come in under the wire at Beaches and Cream. Otherwise, I think it's the ESPN Club or something.
Wed.: Cape May breakfast! Le Cellier for dinner
Thur. Thanksgiving. Breakfast at Spoodles, dinner at my sister's.
Fri. Kona for dinner (this is my niece's favorite)
Sat. Chef Mickey's for breakfast (again, my niece), Yauchtsman for dinner.
Sun. Boma for breakfast (a surprise, and I'm pleased!), Cape May for dinner (not my choice, but a lot of factors made this the dinner we're bound to)
Mon. Crystal Palace for breakfast before the park opens! Then Citrico's for dinner.
Tue. California Grill for dinner. So excited!
Wed. Brown Derby for dinner.
Thur. Whispering Canyon for breakfast (maybe), then Fulton's for dinner. Just me, my girlfriend, and my mother, plus a ton of shellfish.
Fri. Chef's for dinner, on the Processional package.
Sat. Donald's Safari for breakfast (how cool!), Flying Fish for dinner!
Sunday we're off.
Plus we'll be eating breakfast at least once at Kona. And my girlfriend and my mother are going to tea the second Thursday (I'm going golfing that afternoon).
I hope they all come in for us, we're 180 days out this Thursday!

We made some changes to our plan out of necessity (i.e., availability..... I'm sure you've all been there).....
We switched up Le Cellier and California Grill, so now we're eating at California Grill on Wednesday (and early..... we may not get to see fireworks, as they are at 9.00 that night) and Le Cellier the following Tuesday.
We switched Citrico's with Narcoosee's. My girlfriend and I are very excited, as we prefer this decision!
We also couldn't get Cape May for Sunday night. Someone smiled upon us on that one, as we had already exhausted our options trying to convince the family out of it. We're now eating at Captain's Grille, which wouldn't be my absolute #1 choice, but we're pleased.
We have to wait until tomorrow to make our Saturday reservation, and wait for the Processional openings to secure Friday. Given the late tea (the girls secures 3.40) and my golf round on Thursday, I think that we are leaning towards a Beaches and Cream dinner on Thursday.
Almost done! Then it's on to the tentative plan (we don't make concrete plans, but have to outline something so that the rest of our family has a sense of what we might be doing when..... then we can formulate any concrete plans for grand assembly that are necessary. Otherwise much of our vacation will be spent in the Beach Club lobby as the 8 indecisive members of my family argue about what to do while I stand around annoyed to be doing nothing.....:confused3 )

Ok, am I alone in this?

Ever since I've made ADR's, then the hours were released, I'm all excited again. I watch the Disney Planning Video, Samantha Brown's Holiday Christmas special and Samantha Brown's 10 Favorites from WDW all the time. I need more to watch. I can't watch enough. I feel the need to feed the obsession. :hyper:

Hey everyone.....
I know this is a step outside of the usual Disney-planning excitement, but I just wanted to remind those who may have overlooked it that today is the 64th anniversary of the invasion of France. I hope everyone takes a moment today in remembrance.
I think we can all agree that such commemoration is important, and for us, it should have the added consequence of punctuating just how fortunate we are to be planning trips to so wonderful a place.

You and me both Dawn. I love Samantha Brown, were did you see these, on the Travel Channel? I have a question for anyone to answer if anyone knows. I called Disney today b/c I wanted to know what section of CBR I will be located on. They told me they couldn't tell me that, it's based upon availability. Has anyone else gotten your location in advance and if so why can't I know? :( One more thing, should I request a certain location within the resort? Is one nicer than the other?

Do you really think ADR are necessary? I mean I can see at a place like Victoria and Alberts but who knows what I'm gonna feel like come that day at dinner time, or what if were in the park having a great time? I dunno just don't understand it.

I am like you. I guess it really depends on the type of visitor you are. We'll be going w/6 kids, ranging from 7 - 1 1/2. Our priorities are rides/shows/rides/characters/and rides. :thumbsup2 There is nothing more that I DON'T want to do than plan on sitting down for an hour long meal once or twice a day, with kids ready to go go go. Now I did make one character meal ADR, and one nice dinner ADR. But other than that, we'll eat in the room (off-site condo) or table service.

I know when the kids are older we'll experience more table service, but now that just isn't our priority. We only get to go every 2-3 years, and food is just fuel to get us to the next ride right now.
