November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Jill it is a long flight isn't it :( bit worth it :)

Only have one more night DVC to book and then we are done provisionally booked at the Boardwalk villa's :teeth:

We are booked & have most of the spending money now. Just waiting for the big day to arrive.:goodvibes

Good Mornin! Afternoon? Evening??:rotfl:

Anyway, Good something!:goodvibes

Jill, that is such a long flight! I bet you are exhausted by the time you get here. I'm afraid to even tell you how long it took me the last time we went to WDW...
We took off from Pittsburgh at 7:30 and landed in Orlando at 9:25. We were checked into the hotel and walking up Main Street in the MK by 11 AM. It was crazy.

Okay, I read somewhere that you can buy the 2007 ed. of the Passporter for really cheap, at Half.com. I am going to check it out. Essentially, it's the same, with a few adjustments I suppose, for the 2008 ed. Their maps are really the best. I don't use maps anymore, I've been so many times, but I did use the Passporters when I needed them. Ripped them out, laminated them, threw them in the bag. More detail than the ones you get at the parks.

Jo

and planning to do in between ;)

Are you doing the Christmas Party Jill?

Kaylee we are doing the MVMCP so really i've still got that to get tickets for next year & hoping someone might remind me when they are ready to buy which i think someone else said they go on sale about end of may time:confused3 .
I've never seen the christmas lights there so that is why we are going when we are just before the mad rush starts.
Disney tickets were booked with the villa & flight, also booked the pirates adventure dinner show all together.
We did the dolly parton one last time which was lovely so we thought we would try another one.:goodvibes

Will you be doing the MVMCP Kaylee:santa:

Jo,
I wished i hadn't asked now  You lucky thing:goodvibes
The things we do just to see Mickey & Goofy:laughing:
When we arrive in orlando We don't feel tired which i think it's due to excitment of being there again.
The arriving back home at Gatwick is a different story, it hits us with the jet lag & takes a day or two to get over it.;)
Then we start all over again thinking about our next trip :lmao:

We probably will do MVMCP again. There was just so much we missed last time. It was our first and we were just loving walking on all of our favorite rides.

We did not get to Toon Town and I think that's where most of the fun was missed.

The snow on Mainstreet was fabulous.

I think, when we do MVMCP it will be on one of our sleep in days and take it slow so we will have lots of energy to stay til close.

Hi Monica :wave2:
Thanks for that tip i'll make a note of that, making sure it's a part rest day .
Do you go to the parks late afternoon .

For MVMCP, I think you are allowed entrance into the parks around 4:30 or 5 pm with your ticket. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's what you are allowed to do.

I just booked my rental car for the trip thru Dollar. 9 days, Jeep Cherokee (SUV) for $311. Didn't have a code to use this far in advance, but will keep checking to see if I can get one to apply.

Anyone else using a rental car? We always do. It seems that Dollar is always the cheapest for us.

Jill, how is your weather right now? We've had snow, lots of snow.
JO

Hi Jo,
we use a rental car because my Dh loves driving & we both hate the thought of not being able to take off when every we like.
We have booked with Dollar again.

The weather here is cold , this morning there was thick frost every where & the same forecast for tonight again. The wind is very cold.
I'd love snow for christmas :goodvibes :santa:

Jill - I will give you a nudge when I hear about the tickets ;)

We hope to do the first MVMCP if we catch it in time, for our trip in 2006 we managed to do bothe MNSSHP and MVMCP in one trip and I am *hoping* we can do that again :teeth:

Monica - When we did it in 2006 I am sure we missed loads we left early because my DS was only 11 months old. I hope perhaps we can stay a little later this year will depend on DS though :) I loved the snow on Main street too and the hot chocolate and cookies ;)

Jo - we usually have a rental car - haven't booked it yet though. I must say it spends a lot of the time parked LOL!!!

I am going to start looking at restaurants over the next couple of months, any one have some recommendations??

It is nippy here in the UK today :cold:

Hi all! Just checking in. I am at work and haven't caught up in this thread, yet. Just got over an ice storm and I am READY for Disney!!! WHAT??? Still 10 months away??? (SIGH!)

I've heard about the ice storms and the snow you are all having .:scared1:
I know that feeling well when you look at the ticker count downs  & think thats ages yet.

All we can all do is keep thinking about all the wonderful things at WDW, to keep our hearts warm & a big grin on our faces:laughing:

We got a foot of snow on Sunday. The kids had a snow day yesterday.

Today they have school and my sub still hasn't been plowed. It's a major route for all the buses.

:sad2:

Yesterday the delivery truck for our new kitchen set got stuck in front of my house.

One more day has passed. We are 1 more day closer to Disney!

Monica are you going to be able to last over 11 months :goodvibes
It's just a little cold today in the uk no frost last night or rain so can't complain really.
The children must love the snow days (no school).

Mornin/afternoon all!:goodvibes

Well, one day closer. Oh how the time creeps by.

I talked to one of my friends from South Carolina yesterday and she is going to WDW in May. *sigh*. That's not too too far away. Makes me want to go in May again!

Oh well, I will sit here listening to my Disney theme park music and be happy in a dream like state.

anyone ever do MNSSHP? Just wondering if I should, since we will be there for Halloween.

LOL about the rental car.;) We always love being able to jump right into the car and get back to the resort, but we always end up taking a wrong turn at some point.

Thankfully, the sun is out today. I can dream we are :beach: HAHAHA

Jo

Jo

MNSSHP is brilliant we have done it a few times before and will be doing it next year too.

The parade and fireworks are great and all of the trick or treating is a bonus too :teeth:

Send us some snow here in the UK please :)

The kids love it, I hate it.

Got plowed in. Took me over an hour to shovel us out.
