November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

I can totally relate to you! I can't wait until May 18!!!! First thing that morning, I plan on making my ADR's!

I think my day is May 5th. Its a Monday...thats gonna be tough for me to get up early, but since I'll be so excited maybe that will make it easier...LOL

Now that its getting a ...little... closer, I am checking the dis even more and really have to figure out ADR's soon.
We are arriving Nov1st, I have recently heard you can make some ADR's 190 days out, (not CRT though?)
Could someone direct me to the ADR calculator, i know I have seen it before. Or have i really lost it??:confused3

Does anyone know when each park has emh's, I like to plan morning character meals around those.

Hope everyones planning is going well:goodvibes

edited-because i can't type this a.m.!

Go here for the reservation calculator:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/reservations.htm

the 190 days out is 180 + 10. what that means is that you can start making reservations 180 day from your check in day. and for the next 10 days. Meaning you don't have to call every morning to make your ADRs. So I can call May 5th and make them for my whole 7 day trip. I don't have to get up and call first thing every morning to make my ADRs.

Oh and for the EMH I'm not sure we will really know until 6 months before. Which I think for me should be okay because I think they will be posted May 1st for November. And since I will make ADRs on May 5th it should work out fine.

WOOHOO! We are one day closer. It is exactly 7 months until my family goes! ~( ( )~( ) )~( ( )~( ) )~ <--- thats me shaking my booty!

:rotfl:

I haven't checked in for 2 weeks. Life's been hectic. I'm gearing up to really start laying down the dining plans. I want to be all ready when TGM's best days are up!

My DBF and I will be there November 9-18, 2008 - All Star Sports

It was a complete shock to me as we had planned to go next year (Nov. 2009), but last night getting into bed he said "so yeah, I was thinking, if you can plan a trip for under 'x amount of dollars' we can go this November instead of next". :worship: Do you think I got an ounce of sleep last night? :sad2: My mind was racing. Got to work this morning and we are booked!!!!   :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

I am over the moon happy!!!! Now...waiting for November codes popcorn:: . Last year, I was able to knock $500 off our cost last year - here's hoping for the same this year. pixiedust:

This year will be the first time we have done the dining plan. I just know we're going to love it. I think we only have about 40 days to "discuss" where to eat! Half the fun is in the planning.

Thanks for listening to the plan! :grouphug:

Since it is getting closer to time to make our ADRs, where is everyone planning on eating?

So far I am hoping to get:
Early breakfast at CRT on Sunday (our first full day there).
I'm not 100% sure Monday and Tuesday yet, its gonna depend on EMH.
Wednesday I hope to get breakfast at Chef Mickey's
and not sure Thursday and Friday (again depends on EMH).

But I know I want to do Le Celier's, Maybe Coral Reef (with a diver ;) )Maybe Garden Grill (just for Chip and Dale), and I can't remember the rest off the top of my head. We might do Crystal Palace instead of Garden Grill though.

Yeah, the September ones are currently available, and the October dates should be soon. If you're looking to plan earlier, you can feel fairly confident that the days for the EMHs will be the same in November as they are in October.... at least that's my understanding. We're not going until the 25th, so I'm pretty sure they'll be up before our "ADR date."

We can't say for certain yet, but this is what I think we're going to do:
Definitely having dinner at California Grill, Yauchtsman, and Flying Fish.
Definitely having breakfast at least once at Kona. Seeing as how my girlfriend mentions this pretty much every other day, there's not really a question about that.
Definitely going back to Crystal Palace at a time before the opening of the park!
Almost certain to go to Le Cellier.
Probably going to try a few places we didn't last time. Some combination of Artist Point (I love buffalo steaks!), Narcoosee's, and Fulton's, maybe the Bistro de Paris, possibly Chef's de France instead.
Probably going to Park Fare for breakfast. A different character meal and lobster eggs benedict? That's appealing.
After that, we're working it out. Brown Derby would be great, but a replica of the original is actually opening here in Albany this summer!
Kona for dinner as well? Cape May for breakfast, seeing as how we're in the Beach Club? I would love to go back to Jiko, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. Beaches and Cream when we can (after the T-Giving crowds clear out).
Oh, and Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's. Which, as those who've read my trip report know, we are sooooooooooooo looking forward to! :confused3

Since it is getting closer to time to make our ADRs, where is everyone planning on eating?

We're trying "all new" places this trip:

Lunches -

The Plaza
Sci-Fi
Yak & Yeti
WGP Express

Dinners -

Bistro De Paris
Narcoossee's
Tutto Italia
Raglan Road

LOL, I changed some of my meal plans since I posted last night.

Right now this is how its looking:
Sunday: Breakfast at CRT
Monday: Whispering Canyon OR Coral Reef (for supper)
Tuesday: Le Cellier (for supper)
Wednesday: Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Thursday: Crystal Palace (for supper)
Friday: Whispering Canyon OR Coral Reef (for supper)

we have quite a few adrs in planning roll on the 15th May!!

we so far are looking at:

Tonys (L), Plaza (D), CP (B), Hollywood and Vine (FP), WC (D) Coral Reef (L) Biergarten (D) \rainforest cafe at akl (D). think thats it for now, we arent on the ddp as staying at the swan, so going to eat quite a lot at c/s or off site.

looking forward to the emh coming out as well, though i have based my intinary so far on unofficial guide which avoids emh!!!!

I need 7 dinners for our trip. The only lunch I'm planning is Pinnochio Haus for those Figaro Fries. Never had 'em; wanna eat 'em. So far dinner picks are:

Spirit of Aloha show
Sci Fi
Coral Reef (we'll eat steak, it's the atmosphere I want to see!)

I'd like to do the California Grill to see the Fireworks but I'm not totally set on that yet. I was also thinking Boatwrights & Boma. Too many restaurants to choose from

My DH and I will be there! :thumbsup2
We are going the week before Thanksgiving.
