November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

Thanks for the welcome everyone. We are so excited for this trip, but it seems like November will never be here. We love SSR, but we may be changing it to AKV when the 7 month window opens for us.

monymony, the cruise was AMAZING! We did the land & sea and my only complaint was that it went by so fast. We are working on trying to add a cruise to this November vacation.

For those wondering about the Baggallini, I have the messenger bag, in lime green of course. I liked it alot. I never had to take it off. I could just flip it around on a ride and then it was in the front instead of the back. This year my goal is to not have a bag b/c the bag check always seems to be the longest line we wait in. I have one of those passporter things that goes around your neck, and I'm hoping they don't count that as a bag and dosen't need to be checked. You can't really fit much in there, but for tickets & FPs it should work great.

ETA: In reference to the size of the baggallini, it's plenty big enough. I had all kinds of stuff in there. I even had my camcorder in there. In fact the more I think about it, I think I will take it this year.

I have the passporter thingies and I got one for the kids. They will all hold their own this year. I did not like scronging for the tickets and then putting them back it was a vicious cycle. Don't even get me started on looking for them in the room. Oy!

They actually cancelled school here yesterday. One day last year they cancelled school, and I didn't realize it. I took the kids to school and of course no one was there. I was like so where's the snow. It is so funny to me when they cancel school for snow. I guess since I grew up in Michigan, it took a lot for them to cancel school.

LOL, I know what you mean. When we moved to Texas and then Alabama from Illinois I thought it was so funny how we would get out of school for a dusting of snow, but in Illinois we would go in 2 feet of snow. Then I realized here we get ice and a lot of it black ice. But as a kid it was funny.

They searched the fanny packs my kids wore. I carry a mini backpack with my camera, phone, etc. and my husband carries a mid sized one with snacks and ponchos etc. I'm hoping to lighten the load this year since no one will be in diapers and can maybe get through the day without major spills requiring 2 sets of clothes. Did I mention that I am glad its Friday?

we have been looking at all the different menus to make some sort of a decision on what adrs we want to make, but there is so much yummy food we are still having trouble narrowing it down!!! Have sort of planned which parks we are goign to based on unoffical guide book but they will get adapted once the parks hours come out!

Back in the early 70's I went to Disney world with my family as a young boy. It was me, mom, dad, my 2 brothers and my sister. We stayed at the Polynesian Village now the Polynesian. We had a picture taken by a totem pole in the courtyard all wearing matching Disney sweatshirts. That photo has always been a family favorite (especially to my father). Now over 30 years later we are all going back to the Polynesian the first week of November. We have a few additions to our cast there are now 3 wives and 4 young children (all first timers). We are can't wait for our new family photo with our new family members. I can't help but think we will be back here together again in another 30 years with a whole new group of cast members. Disney is more than a resort it is a tradition.
