Nov 3-4, hotels already sold out?

Looking at staying in the area on Nov 3-4 so my son can participate in the youth performance workshops, and many of the hotels are booked up already! What? I know it’s dapper day, but being inbetween seasons, I thought there’d be much more a availability. And for the hotels to be more affordable. Do you think people are double booked right now and hotels might open up and go down in price as it gets closer? I am a local passholder and rarely see the hotels this nuts for off weekends like this one. I’ve had no problem during Dapper Days in the past. I also don’t typically plan more than a few weeks in advance, so I could be getting nervous for no reason?

Along with Dapper Days, BlizzCon is also happening at the Convention Center (11/2 and 11/3). While I don't think BlizzCon has a huge impact on the parks, I could see it (along with Dapper Days) really impacting the hotels/motels in the area.

We were ther for blizzcon last year. Super busy. Hotel prices only went up! I’d book what you can now.

I'd also look on Hotel Tonight (Hotels Tonight, maybe?). Its a phone app for last minute hotel/motel rooms. You can look several weeks ahead for other hotel ideas.

It's been our experience that even 3 mos out has kept us from getting the hotel we wanted.
