We will be taking our 2 young daughters to WDW for their first trip the week after Thanksgiving 2017. They will be 2 yrs and 4 and a half yrs. We are having a hard time deciding on which Resort to stay at. We want convenience, ambience and a view of MK/fireworks would be nice. We are looking at WL (love the christmas decor but don't want issues with the boat taking a lot of extra time), Polynesian, and Contemporary (love that you can walk to MK but not sure it offers much in terms of ambience). Thank you!!! Feel free to suggest another that might be better too.

If you can afford deluxe, I would stay at the POLY no doubt. Great location and you can keep the kids in the strollers when they nap, and just hop on the monorail. We stayed there when my DD was 3. It is the best choice IMO for young kids!

Poly would also be my choice if I wanted to be close to MK and able to see the fireworks. You'll be right on the monorail and I love the ambience there. I also love the restaurants at the Poly. We love both Kona and Ohana for breakfast.

For convenience then stay at the Contemporary. You can walk or ride to MK. The WL boat does not take that long and I always likes the early morning ride.

IMO I also agree with the Contemporary/BLT resort. Our granddaughter's are 5 & 2, the convenience of being able to walk back to the resort from the MK cannot be beat. If you are staying at BLT they also have a very nice pool area for the little ones. Enjoy your trip!

Out of your choices, we've stayed at Poly and WL and we love both for different reasons. With that said, while the WL is beautifully decorated during the holidays, I would go with the Poly. Both WL and Poly are great resorts with beautiful atmospheres and both are convenient (as the pp said, the boat from WL doesn't take long), but the Poly wins for great views of MK/fireworks. Good luck!
