Nov 13, 2010 Western Caribbean Magic Cruise-Check in here!

Just me....AGAIN.... but if any of you are doing the turtle farm at Boatswain you can save BIG by buying the tickets on line (they were 140 for 2 adults and 2 kids then 20% off of that) Public transportation goes right to it,or cab, or they (boatswain) have a shuttle that comes to the port. Save like $100 as compared to ship excursion. Also if you ask room service to pack you a lunch (which is included in your meal plan) save $ too.:cool1:

Is there enough time and how do you mail stuff to the ship for goodie bags???
And yes I know I am a pest:idea:

i would say No there is not enough time to gauruntee it getting there and to ur room.......

what are the ages and namews of people in ur party and room #

I am hoping to have some extra stuff, to include you ...........

Everyone is great thank you! We are flying out Friday b/c my husband had to cancel last minute and my mom is coming out. We are staying at the Radisson at the port Friday night and plan to get to the terminal by 10ish. Just finished decorating my suitcase with mickey heads. yes I know it is geekish but hopefully this way it won't get lost! This is great that there is a group of us. Maybe this way I can get my 4 year old to spend some time in the daycare b/c he hated it last year. What should I bring to stuff in the mail bags for others??? Should the other people on the latecomers and I just do for eachother??? :rotfl::rotfl:

We are at the radisson on Friday also. We are already signed up for the 10 am shuttle to the port.

We leave Thursday morning too!! Are you flying out of Logan? How crazy would it be if we were on the same flight!!

I was thinking the same thing but we are flying out of MHT on the 6:50am flight. I can't wait after today I only have one more day to work:cool1::cool1:

I would agree with FIREFLY01 that you would not have enough time to mail stuff ahead. The sticky FAQ thread says package must be at warehouse Friday prior to sailing and with Thursday being Veteran's day I would not chance your stuff not making it to the ship.:goodvibes

I have a son, Samuel who is 4 and a daughter, Bella who is 8. I made my FE bag out of an old Mickey Mouse Easter Basket. It came out really cute!

Hope your Mickey heads are not flourescent orange cause then they'll look like ours!! :rotfl2:

For those new to the FE exchange here is something we put together for past cruises:

Remember the FE Exchange is supposed to be FUN. It should not become daunting.

Make it whatever you want. Some folks work from scratch and their talents really come through; others buy items that they think will bring a smile to the recipients. We have gotten gifts as simple as Disney pencils, candy bars, homemade magnets, postcards from hometowns/states, etc. Some are simply left in the FE, others are bagged (usually the small bags you would use for candy etc at kids parties) with ribbon, etc.

We generally do a gift per cabin, sometimes with small candy per person. Sometimes it depends on how far we're traveling to the ship (for west coast or overseas the FE gifts tend to be smaller for obvious reasons). On some cruises, we have joined with others and done a group gift - lanyards and namebadges or wristbands. Each cruise is different, that’s what makes it fun.

Delivering the gifts is also a fun experience, also a great way to see the ship and all the cabin door decorations. Kinda feels like being an elf at Christmas. Some folks leave their gifts anonymously; others have their disname, others their first names; whatever you want. When you leave your gift is also up to you; we'll usually leave ours on a sea day. If your gift is themed, i.e. pirate, you may want to leave it on a certain day.

We have also volunteered to post the FE list on our cabin door (5628) so folks can make or check for any last minute cabin changes.

Remember FE = Fun.

Don't forget a wire tie or some other way to attach it to the fish so it doesn't develop "legs" and walk away. Another way to minimize chances of that happening is to put your first names on it.

Never been a problem for us but it has happened to others.

That is awesome that there are others staying at the Radisson with us! And Thank you Bob for the FE advice. Since this is last minute I have face paint for pirate night, candy and pencils. I'll hit the dollar store later this week. I am getting OCD trying to coordinate clothes for pictures, God forbid we aren't wearing matching outfits! LOL. Last year I brought 6 suitcases for 4 people...... This year I am aiming for one suitcase.

OK...so I am officially on vacation. However sitting in my office at work...LOL PATHETIC I am wheels up in 47 hours and 51 minutes!!! I am going down to Cocoa Beach for 3 days by MYSELF prior to the rest of the fam coming in on Saturday!! WHOOO HOOO!!! TOTALLY EXCITED!!! Only bad thing...I haven't packed a DARN thing. I'm such a procrastinator this time. I have NO IDEA WHY. I want to call in sick on Wednesday and just try to catch an earlier flight. I think I'm officially more psyched than my kids!

See y'all at the meet! 3pm on the 13th!!!!!

I am taking hopefully one...we shall see. I plan on wearing a swim suit and wrap all day long! We are only doing beach excursions and I plan to be as lazy as possible. I am taking 3 pair of shorts and shirts and my dress clothes for dinner. Same for my hubby and kids. I double I'll make it, but who knows! LOL

To Alamere1496 you wrote about the turtle farm I haven't earned my ears yet to email you. I bought the boatswain tickets online they were $140 for 4 people and then save 20% off if order online $28) plus you get access to whole park. Also the pulic bus which is right at the port goes there and passes the beach on the way (in case you want to stop at the beach after )and Boatswain does pickups at the port. You will save almost $100 for a family of 4. I had signed up for the Disney Excursion then cancelled. Last year I did all my own excursions and saved a lot of money. We could even share a shuttle if both our families go. The shuttle is like $5 per person.
