Nov.1 2009 on the Wonder! it's never too early to chat!the

My real name is Bridgette, but when I was 4 years old I had a shirt with my name on the back and a cartoon bird on the front. So to my family and (some)friends I am BIRD.:rolleyes2

My daughters middle name is Raven so I shortened it and I am now Birdrav.

I heard it on the radio last week that it is now politically incorrect to call us Hillbillys now. We are officially... are you ready for this?!?
Appalachian Americans!:lmao:

Bird...I MUST use this "Appalachain Americans" title up here in WI. we are locally known as "the Hillbillies"! that is toooo funny! :rotfl:

Is anyone else having a hard time with the fact that this cruise is over a year away? Can't wait!!!!!!

Hi. I just transferred my Cruise reservation to this date so I can head to WDW sooner and attend MNSSHP - Land and Sea package. I'll be 26 at time, travelling solo, and this will be my first cruise.

Hi CinderALLIE!!!! We are getting more people, that is very exciting:banana:

You will love the cruise! It seems that we alternate each time. One year WDW next time DCL. I equally excited for both. This time we will go to epcot after leaving the ship.:dance3:

OH and I get it about your name, I was just wondering if it had anything to do with having a pet bird. I am the mom to a parrot.

ME!!!

We were just in WDW in September and normally when I get back I'm ok for a while, but this time I can't stop thinking about going back. And for the past few years, we always start out planning a cruise and then end up scrapping it for land only. I am determined to get a cruise in 2009!!!

Welcome aboard CinderAllie!! You really have a lot of trips coming up, that's awesome!

We are also looking to attend MNSSHP, we have been every year for the past 4 years and it's our favorite. We will be there for the sold out madness on Halloween next year, I know it will be crowded but lots of fun :yay:

It really just seems like I have lots of trips as I have one upcoming one this year and then next years one I'm going on ABD tour of Disneyland, then head straight to WDW followed by cruise and then back for more Disneyland. My last 3 countdowns are three parters as they are all equally important. The next one doesn't have a countdown but will prob be Aug 2010 or Apr 2011 depending on finances and if I decide to go to P&PP instead of for my Birthday. Decisions, decisions. All well I'll worry about that later.

I don't know what date I'll be at MNSSHP next year but I'll most likely be wearing Snow White costume (No wig though) I brought off www.disneyshopping.com this year...but then again alot can change in a year. Wow, you go every year that's saying alot. Now your making me look forward to it more:lmao:

Now my sister in law is going too!!! She sure deserves this trip!!!! Hubby won't get to go so this will be an all girls trip!!! WOOO HOOOO!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I'm booked! It's official...see you all in 370 days!

I finally booked my cruise for birdrav's wedding and I am so excited!

:woohoo:  :bride: :rotfl:

well I'm new to this site but not new to Disney. This will be our first cruise ever and as kids at heart we are very excited!

I've never been on a Cruise and never been anywhere with my DSIL so this will be an interesting adventure for us both! I look forward to getting to know her better and what better way than to go to Disney and a Cruise!!!! I can hardly wait! I'm finally past the year countdown and after this trip in Dec. will start paying down my next one!!! Have fun with the wedding plans Girls!!!:thumbsup2

Welcome aboard redneckgranny! Glad to hear there will be some other admitted rednecks onboard.:rotfl:

Wedding plans are moving along smoothly. We have 2 new sets of aunt/uncles that have now booked and hope to get everyone booked by the end of january. Looks like we will have a VERY large group! You'll know me as the crazed redhead running after the little blonde girl !

we are going to be in WDW prior to going on the Wonder and not sure at this point if I'm driving down or flying. If flying I won't be renting a car so would it be best to arrange a day back at WDW after the cruise so DCL transportation can take us back there or just back to the airport with a late flight booked? I'm a newbie to this and don't know the logistics for all of it....please help a newbie out!!!! (which would be a smoother transition???)

We will be on this cruise, November 3 is our 25th Wedding Anniversary!

We did a 3 day cruise about 7 years ago, so it has been quite awhile.

We have 4 kids, but we will be on this cruise without them. We will enjoy watching those weddings. :yay:

:goodvibes

Welcome aboard mr and mrs. Mcduck! What a nice treat to yourselves for your anniversery. Congratulations!

We are under the 300 day mark! Wedding plans for birdrav should start to pick up now that the holidays are over. We now have approx. 25 in our group and that number could very well grow in the next couple of months.

yesterday morning while driving my daughter to daycare in 20 below weather, all i could think of was a warm breeze and open seas...and of course the drink of day in my hand! :rotfl:

i think i'm having one of those "super excited about the cruise" days!!!! ugh, 298 days to go?!?!?!?! :scared1:

Wedding plans are definitly underway!:bride:

As of right now our party is 5 staterooms and 13 people.
It will of course grow by the end of this month.

I have attended our Wedding Expo 2009 here in Charleston. and I
officially have an appointment for the big day. No not THE big day, but the next biggest day. CHOOSING MY WEDDING GOWN:dance3: :cloud9: :lovestruc

Arrangements with the cruise line are still not moving. I intend to call soon to make sure I am not missing anything.

I can't wait to see who else will be on this cruise and let them get in with the IN crowd.:goodvibes

We'll be there too! I'm glad to hear we won't be the only redneck hillbillies on board. We have 3 cabins and it will be 8 of us. We will have me and dh and our 4 dd's ages 16yo, 6yo (turns 7 on the ship), 3yo, and 1 1/2yo at time of cruise and my mom and her boyfriend. Still trying to leave the boyfriend home LOL. I'm glad to hear that there will be some other teens on board, my dd is really looking forward to the teen activities. That is if I can keep her from getting seasick:crazy2: I'm so nervous about that since she gets seasick on little boats. We'll be taking lots of medicines to try and combat it. None of us have ever cruised before so I'm excited and nervous at the same time. We are thinking of doing the blue lagoon dolphin excursion, anyone else? :cool1: I'll be excited to run into the bride with my girls, I'm trying to get them all to marry Disney style. :grouphug:

ahhhhh, another sailor!!! or 8!!

hmmm, another "mom's boyfriend" issue? :confused3

anyhoo, glad to see our cruise will have plenty of DIS'ers onboard. kind of makes me feel like we're in on a secret that no one else knows!

my dearest sister birdrav will be coming up north to visit this spring and we will surely be doing a lot of wedding/cruise planning! :cheer2: maybe a little bride's maid dress shopping and door sign making!

Ya moms boyfriend isn't horrible or anything he's just not that much fun and my mom would have a better time without him (her words not mine). If he goes though it's all good we'll have fun around him. :beach:

I'm cold. I'm bored. I'm daydreaming of the cruise.

Think I might go make a payment, that'll cheer me up!!

:thumbsup2
