Couldn't think of anything whitty or funny to put in my title line so just plain and simply it is me Kim. I have tried this before. More times then I care to admit. I have made some great strides with my health and getting more active, I have completed 1 goofy marathon, 1 marathon, numberous 1/2 marathons and lots of shorter distance races over the last couple of years. However, I am still over weight, actually in all that trainning I have not really lost a pound. My starting weight was 205 and as of this morning I am at 199.6 and it has fluctuated a few pounds but nothing to be proud of.
I have made a recommitement to myself, 2011 is going to be the year of me. I have many races on my calender for 2011 starting with the Disney marathon, I will be walking this event and it will take me probably the entire 7 hours to complete but no doubt I WILL COMPLETE IT.
I have started with a healthy eatting plan recently and it has me feeling good, not seen any movement on the scale yet but I am OK with that, I feel great.
I turn 45 in Feb and that means the climb to 50, I do not want to be fat and 50 so I am giving myself this year to lose the extra 50 or so extra pounds I am carrying. As a reward I will once again tackle the 2012 Goofy Marathon but I will rock it. I will work on a time goal that I will set probably about mid August to see where I think I will be able to finish.
I also pledge to keep a journal going here to keep myself accountable and also be able to go back and check back how I am doing and want works and doesn't work for me.
