nothing serious, but I need encouragement

Hi Disney brides,

DH and I were hoping/planning on a VR in Nov 07, then he lost his job. After 23yrs. He had told me as long as he gets a new job by March we can still do the VR. I am getting sadder and sadder as the weeks go by and he doesn't have a job. I know there are much larger problems than our VR, but I was soooo looking forward to it. DH keeps telling me we can always do it for our 30th anniversary instead of our 25th. But our kids are a good age now. The teens would be 16 for our 25th and our "baby" would be 4. as opposied to 21 and 9....big diff! Sorry for the vent. Thanks for "listening".

I know what you're going through! My DF just started a new job, but not just a new job, a new career! I'm hopeful though, I'm determined to do whatever it takes for our Disney Wedding to happen! I hope everything turns out for you! I will send you some good vibes!

Wow, I know you must be so hurt!! But try to keep your chin up!!! How about a vow renewal for your 26th anniversary??? The 26th is going to be just as special as the 25th. It will give you more time to plan and the kids will still be good ages to take with you.

dmslush - I've considered doing a VR on our 26th. My fear is if dh is out for too long we're going to drain the savings and possibly get behind on our bills. Then it will be a matter of catching up. I am actually willing to put of the savings for a intimate VR, but everything is so up in the air right now. So, for now I read and dream, dream and read.....actually, the other night I had a dream Dh and I were looking at Disney VR sites. I like dreaming disney dreams! Atleast I can live the planning through you all! There are alot worse things people are dealing with than having to postpone their VR. At least after 24 years I still consider him my Prince Charming!
