Should I keep trying? We are going the 1st week of December. I didn't think the parks would be that crowded, but O'Hana and 1900 Park Fare are both full the whole time we are there. I have called a couple of times and the last cm I spoke with pretty much told me that no one cancels and I am out of luck. I don't want to believe him, so what do you guys think? When is the best time to call, do I call everyday? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would keep calling everyday. Especially closer (45 day mark) to your trip. People may end up canceling since thats when people need to pay for packages. We couldn't get O'hanas the 2nd week in Dec, but I kept calling and I got in. Good luck!

I would make it a point to call 3 x's a day if you can. 7:00 am ,3:00 PM AND 9:00 PM. If not all three at least the 7:00 am. Good Luck!

I had no problem getting them - we are going to be there 12/5 - 12/12.

Just keep calling ;)

I'm also out of luck (sorta) with Ohana. My parents decide to join us and I tried changing our reservations from 3 guests to 5 or at least add a reservation for two but, they're fully booked. I guess I'll keep calling.

I say keep trying or try to tweak the time.

We were there first week in Dec last year and expected it to be fairly quiet but it was packed. Not holiday/summer packed but still busier than we expected but the weather so gorgeous (esp coming from NY:laughing: )..have fun!

We will be there Dec. 3-10th and was able to get all the ADR's I wanted, including 1900, except for Ohana's. Well, they had Ohana's but too late for us to eat with kids.

I always called in the evening right before they closed. Never had to wait on hold. I even called and changed a few a couple of weeks later and had no trouble then. Called again at night.

I did not call at my 180, more like 160.

On our last trip that was in Jan. and we actually called while we were there and was able to change some ADR's. The hotel guest services did it for us and she was able to get us where we wanted and when. So try that.

I will add that when we went in Jan, it was value season and very low crowds in parks, but the restuarants were filled at meal times, many not taking any walk ups.The ones that did take walk ups at about 1 1/2 hour wait they were telling guests.
It seems that most are now making ADR's.

Keep calling as you never know when someone will cancel. I had a hard time getting Kona for our trip last September (during free dining) and I finally got in about a month or two before we went ;). So I say if it's some place you really want to go to, keep trying up to and including the day you want to go because you just never know :wizard:.

Definitely keep trying....hate to tell you that on July 15 around 10-11am, I booked 7:10pm dinner at 1900 for December 2....and also 11:10am breakfast at 1900 on December 12. We are a party of 3....and sometimes the party size makes a difference, which is odd, but for one reservation (O'hana on Dec 7) she booked me for a party of 4 because they didn't have a table of 3 available????? :confused3

So....you might try asking for a table a little higher than you need and see if there is availablity. I totally don't understand why this works, it would seem that if there are 4 chairs at the table that 3 people would fit just fine.....so why make it require 4 people? But since the CM offered it, I'll take it!

Keep trying but if you can't get anything I say that sounds like a good night for your parents to eat on their own.:rotfl2:

How many people do you have because I am thinking of canceling an ADR for 2 people on 12/6?
