So this photo just came up on my FB wall to "share a memory"

Im often asked why I go to so many character dining experiences. My answer is always "Because a great memory is always better than a good steak". I can eat steak at home.

I find it CAN be overwhelming. And, my son Can be overwhelmed. We can't do Chef Mickey, for example, it's too loud and bright and crazy.

However, he just told me that, having the characters come to you while you eat is "the thing" about Disney. You can do rides anywhere, but you can't eat with the characters anywhere but Disney.

So, I have searched out some new character experiences (to us) for our trip.

I bet garden grill or cape may would be good.CM Or H&V? No.

Let's see, so far, I have

Tusker House Breakfast
Ohana Breakfast
Garden Grill Breakfast
1900 Park Fair Breakfast
CRT dinner
BOG Dinner
Akershus Lunch

We are doing DXDP

So, I also have

Cali Grill Brunch
Yachtsman Dinner
Spirit of Aloha
Kona Breakfast
Ohana dinner
Morimoto dinner
Le Cellier lunch
Boatwrights dinner

And OOP

Pirates and Pals

(and fingers crossed for Club Villain.)

Of course, this is a PLAN, so, when it comes to booking we might have to switch it up a bit. BUT, I think this gives us a mix of character, not character, 11 yr old boy, 4 yr old girl, adult etc. We might, of course, all go pop at some point! Oh, and we're staying at the Poly, hence the large number of poly based meals.

Great choices! If your daughter likes Sophia the 1st or Doc McStuffins at all, I highly recommend Hollywood and Vine Breakfast. We love it there. Adults like all the breakfast options and kids like the dancing, singing and characters. I also love Cape May for the photos with Mickey and friends in their beach clothes. Breakfast is good, though compared to other Disney breakfast buffets, its on the small size with fewer options (not that we need as many options as some of the others anyway!!) Kona breakfast is YUMMM. My new favorite breakfast..tried for the first time last year, is Boma. Everything you could ever ask for plus Simba waffles! Grand Floridian Cafe is a delicious lunch spot just a minute monorail ride from the Poly.

Ive never heard of Morimoto. Where / what is that??

Ooh, thanks for some more ideas!

Morimoto is an asian place in DS. It's quite new, but it has a good variety, so we should all find something we like.

You have some of my favorites!!

I really like boatwrights! Never had a bad meal there.

We always book heavy at the resort we are staying at, kind of celebrate the resort as well as the parks.

Consider Narcoossees for dinner as well. It's not far snd the food is delicious. It is really nice for a family.
