I ordered the DDE card on Jan 26th. and got the email the next day. Our trip wasn't until March 3rd, but since they said the expiration would be the end of March, I decided to go for a January order in case I could get the cards on time. My credit card was charged March 2nd. We used the letters during the trip.

I called On April 8th as I still didn't have my cards. Had a difficult time explaining to the CM about the situation - at first she thought I meant April 2nd. Had to count the weeks with her since January and March, whenever they got ordered. Then after waiting on hold while the CM checked with someone else, she came back on the line and pronounced "You will get them soon". I said OK I'll wait two more weeks and then call back, I think they are lost.

So I called back yesterday. This CM, much nicer and more helpful, said that this was way too long to wait and would reorder the cards. But let's check your address first. The house number (104 not 105), the city (I live in South Portland and the city name was Self Portland - how stupid is that?) and the zip code (40016 not 04106) were all wrong. She said " Wow! I guess they are really lost!" So she apologized, said she would put the order at the top of the list, asked when my next trip was to be sure I would get them on time - and told me that the new expiration date would be the end of May 2006 for my troubles.

Then she gave me her name and said if I don't get the cards to call back with the date and her name and say that she had special ordered them and to check into it.

And I had not complained at all thru the whole call. I was very polite, patient and light hearted thru the whole thing, so not like she had to do a guest recovery. She just offered the extention and I was very pleased. I will now get 5 trips from those cards! And we definately saved the $50 already on the first trip.

So - be sure to call about those cards if you don't get them!

I plan to send a note to DDE to comment on her service. She was very nice and not at all - ummmm, put out - like the first CM was.
 
I'm glad it worked out for you! That's great that she extended the dates for you.

After hearing about the waits, I ordered our DDE yesterday to have in time (I hope) by our July trip. Unfortunately, the card will expire in April 06. Too bad we can't order the card with a start date of our next trip...
