Not worried, anyone else?

The OP can correct me if I am wrong, but I think that they were just trying to be light-hearted, not necessarily about all of the planning, but about all of the worries that you often see discussed on this board.

1. Hurricanes
2. Changes in Park Hours
3. Changes in EMH Days
4. Attraction Closings
5. WDW in the News re: People Getting Sick or Hurt on Attractions
6. Heat
7. Germs

(Feel free to add to this list if you would like. :teeth: )

Planning can be a good thing. Worrying about everything that could go wrong can be a bad thing.
Relax and enjoy your planning and then your trip. Don't get an ulcer before you go worrying about everything...

I never worry once I get there. I plan and re-plan and chart everything out and cross reference it and highlight it and have options one, two, and three and what to do if it rains and where we will eat and what we'll wear and what meals we'll eat in rooms and when to poop (just kidding) :rotfl2: :

OMG!!!! I have to show DH this. On our last trip all four of us got the "long nature" call at Epcot, but at different times & countries. We spent a long time just sitting on benches waiting!

It may be a good idea scheduling in that poop . . .

Hi Newchic99, We'll also be at Pop Century Aug 21st for the week. I'm with you, no worrying. I'm at Disney and not at work!! :sunny: I have my schedule on paper, but it's not in stone. If we need to, we stop at Guest Services at the hotel or parks to change lunch or dinner reservations. My only worry...the humidity. That gets to me!!

I've planned more for this trip than the others- but I figured that with it being August I should. Mostly, the main sit down meals that we would like to have and my daughter's birthday. I think that for some, planning lessens their worries, for others it may increase their worries. Like the others have said, it's Disneyworld so no matter what we'll have fun!

Well, last year we lucked out and were there between the major hurricanes (cruise right after us was diverted), so we are aware of the danger, but there is nothing we can do about it anyway.

We do not really plan, so no itineraries to get off track. We go, and by gosh, we will have fun no matter what!

I was most definately looking at it in a light hearted way. I think if everything has to be planned down to the second, that it has to be stressful . I know it would for me. I just want to enjoy myself and try to make this vacation as stressfree as possible. I just want everyone to have a great time at the happoest place on earth!

Well, I am a planner, but I am definitely not worried. We are going in September, during hurricane season, and camping. If there is a hurricane, I am sure that Disney will take care of us. We have our days in the park planned - if they change the hours, then we'll change parks. I would have liked to see the Living Seas again, but, I'll just have to wait until next time. I expect it to be hot, so will be prepared for such. Don't expect I'll run into much more germs there than in a normal day here - I'll still wash my hands just like normal.

DH says that I am the "master lemonade maker of lemons", LOL! ;)

Sign me in as one of the group that plans, replans. Have options abc (rain and shine) and then toss them all out the window as soon as we get there.... i believe my obsessive planning about our vacation keeps me sane in my "real" crazy life!! :sunny:

We are leaving FOUR WEEKS FROM TODAY for our very first august trip! :) The only thing I am really worried about is how DH & DS10 will handle the heat. DD6 and I will be fine but my boys don't do heat well. We have to start summer trips since DS will be going into 5th grade and it's getting too tough for him to make up the work.

I did do some planning and I have a rough itinerary for the week. DH agreed to the trip as long as I made dinner reservations for every night - and I did. Two of those nights are for just the two of us (Kona Cafe and Jiko's) while the kids go to daycare. One night we are seeing Hoop Dee Doo Review with some friends from here as they are going to be at WDW the same time we are.

We want to do BOTH water parks (usually we only get to do one - and when we used to go in November it wasn't guaraneed to be warm enough to swim). We also want to rent the water mice, and maybe even go to Sea World (DH & I last went there in 1992, before we had kids, and I think they would like it)

We are staying in 3 resorts over 9 nights so it will be fun to explore them. The kids will have fun with the 3 different pools. I want to REALLY scrapbook this trip so I am planning in taking LOTS of notes and lots of pictures.

I just hope we can get half of what I want done....I just want to have FUN! :)

See ya there!

Ah yes, lots of r & r in there! :) We are fortunate to go twice a year so we never go comando mode anymore. The kids helped plan where we will eat and they will help us plan what we do every day. I just need to have SOME structure as my boys do better with that. :)

We have seen HDD before and really liked it - hope our friends do too!
