NOT usually a fan, but LOVING Best Buy today!

I have had this intense dislake of Best Buy for abt a year, ever since they "fixed" my pc by clearing out the memory of every document, picture of my new baby, etc. (Yes, I know I should have backed it up - live and learn!).

Well, before the above incident happened, I had purchased a camera there. Spent the $20, got the service agreement. Well, a year and a half later, the camera doesn't work! I bring it in today - a week before we leave for WDW! - and ask at the repair desk if we will have it back in time. He looks it up, and tells me they won't fix it. My blood instantly starts boiling, when I hear him say I get a NEW CAMERA! I got every penny that I paid for the camera towards the purchase of my brand new, 5 mp digital camera! Yes, they got me to spend $300, but I am still thrilled with them today!

back when they still had it for computers, my dads first pentium 60 ( ancient) busted pretty good after they tried to add a cd rom to it....well, he got the full 3K he spent for it and got a new top of the line computer for an extra grand....it since flew away vie dorothy in the may 99 tornado but it made his day....=D oh yea i worked there so he got my discount for the purchase too...=D

I buy all my small electronics at Best Buy, and take out that warranty. It is GREAT for things that "go" like PS2. They give you a NEW one, I had warranty from Electronics Boutique for the first system, they gave me a rebuilt, not a new one. It went 6 months later, and warranty was over by then. When you go to Best Buy, and get the new replacement item, you can again buy the warranty on THAT item. (For example Sears just has the remaining original warranty run on the replacement item)

They also told me, if the system died when PS3 was out, I could use $$ amount towards PS3 instead.
