There is a huge difference between the Disney Wonder and the Soverign of the Seas. We were on SOS in January for a cheap getaway (cheap is what we got) and I would not go back on that boat for free. It is old, the rooms are like a closet, the staff is unfriendly, the food mediocre and there is nothing to do most of the time.

We are not really glass half empty type of people, but the best thing we found to do on the SOS was to stare at the Wonder at Port Canaveral and in Nassau and dream of our upcoming trip in February on the Wonder.

That being said, I would not hesitate to go on a Voyager class ship and plan to do so when my daughter is older.

I think you were replying to the compare RCCL and DCL post http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=394634

And I agree I went on SOS on a company paid group trip and was very dissapointed. This year when I won a cruise they gave me a 7 day cruise for 2 which I traded for the 4 day DCL cruise for 4 (myself and my 3 DS's). The travel agent tried to get me to take a less expensive 7 day, I told her no as you say they are not the same!! I think DCL covers for a better range of ages, a RCCL megaship would be a great change once they all get older.

Most of RCCL smaller boats like SOS are begining to get weaned out. Their Mega ships are AWESOME!!! Many of the smaller ships age moving out of the larger ports and are going to start doing smaller routes to make room for these remarkable mega ships. We sailed Voyager and absolutely had a great time. We never found ourselves bord, and I thought the service was one step ahead of DCL. Although, no one disembarks a ship like DCL. If only RCCL would use DCL method.

We plan to try the Voyager next summer after hearing so many good things about it. This will be our 3rd DCL and our kids are older teens and feel they will really enjoy the Voyager! They are cheaper too...
