Not taking any chances

I booked a last minute premium plan trip to WDW from may 27-31st. My original flight got me in Saturday morning around 10:15am. Since it's a busy weekend, and the rainy season in Florida, I don't want to chance not getting in on time. I have reservations at Sammy Duvalls that afternoon and if I miss them, my card is charged. So as a result, I switched the air to fly me in on friday evening, and got a hotel thru Hotwire on friday night. This way I can get to the airport first thing saturday morning and hopefully catch one of those 6am magical express busses to WDW and be in the parks by 9am! Total cost= ~$85. But, better safe then sorry... Do you think I did the right thing? With the premium plan, it'll really allow me to maximize that first day with recreation.
