Hi all, I have a question and I am not sure where this thread needs to be, I am sure it will get moved if necessary!
I found out on Sat. that I have a condition that may require me to have brain surgery. We have a trip to the World scheduled (plane tickets already bought & packaged booked w/deposit) for Halloween weekend. This is my question: my balance is due in mid Sept. and we will be using several Disney Reward Dollars from our Disney Visa, if it looks like I have to have the surgery and it can't wait will I be able to get a "refund" w/those dollars or will I lose them?? I am waiting for my next set of tests to see if I need the surgery or not, this wait is making me crazy, I have been staying off the boards b/c it depresses me too much knowing that I might be doing all of this planning for nothing

Did you happen to purchase insurance when you booked your package? Keep in mind that without insurance you will also fees to get a refund after final payment date.

Can you avoid using your Reward Dollars for now? Pay with cash or credit card now and save the Reward dollars to use when you get there for additional expenses?

I don't know how it works to get those back so you would really need to call Disney or the company that oversees the Reward Dollars and see what they say. Also remember that your Reward Card has an expiration date on it so you need to use any dollars you transfer or you will lose them. So even if they they did refund them back, if you can't get to Disney before your card expires (I think usually Dec of the year after you order it) you would still end up losing them.

I would suggest that you call and talk to Disney and see what they recommend.
